Registration:
These events are open to NON-US players only.
Pre-registration will open on August 6th 2008 at approx. 3pm EST and will close on August 27, 2008 at 3pm EST. All participants must pre-register with the following information to be eligible to play in this event:

1. The EXACT Player Screen Name used to register your player account on Betfair Poker.(participants are urged to double check for any capitalization, punctuation, and/or spaces, if these are allowed in user names at the host site). Only Betfair Poker accounts will be eligible to play.

2. The EXACT Email Address used to register your player account on Betfair Poker. Only Betfair Poker accounts will be eligible to play.

3. ***OPTIONAL*** - Participants can choose from the list of forums and affiliates on the drop down list in Step 2 of pre-registration. If you do not see your forum or affiliate of choice in this list, you may manually enter the name and web address of your forum of choice by selecting Other- Enter Forum Manually at the top of the drop down list of forums. NOTE: If you manually enter a forum, your pre-registration for this event will not be valid until the forum or affiliate you submitted is verified by GGE.

Betfair Poker will remit one ticket to your account after your valid pre-registration on GGE. This ticket will allow you to register for both events 24 hours before the start of the freeroll and 48 hours before the start of the buyin. NOTE: You WILL NOT be automatically registered to play in this event. Each eligible participant must register in the Betfair PokerTournament Lobby before the tournament starts.

1st Place Country wins a $125 Private Tournament on Betfair Poker
2nd Place Country wins a $75 Private Tournament on Betfair Poker
3rd Place Country wins a $50 Private Tournament on Betfair Poker

Global Gaming Events #16 - Betfair Poker WSOP Europe $5.50 Buyin
1st Place Country wins a $250 Private Tournament on Betfair Poker
2nd Place Country wins a $150 Private Tournament on Betfair Poker
3rd Place Country wins a $100 Private Tournament on Betfair Poker

Scoring:
Each event is scored independently from each other. The winning countries will be determined by adding the total cumulative points earned by their respective members. Only the top 30 players will earn points for their respective countries in these events. Points will be earned in reverse finish method plus bonus points as follows:

1st Place Individual earns 10 bonus points for their country and forum if applicable.
2nd Place Individual earns 7 bonus points for their country and forum if applicable.
3rd Place Individual earns 5 bonus points for their country and forum if applicable.
4th Place Individual earns 3 bonus points for their country and forum if applicable.
5th Place Individual earns 1 bonus points for their country and forum if applicable.

Therefore 30th place would earn 1 point for their country, 29th would earn 2 points, etc. 1st place earns 30 points plus 10 bonus points for a total of 40.

Out of the top 30 players, any player that is also representing a forum will earn points in the Forum Competition

GGE will handle all country and forum scoring aspects and all GGE decisions are final. In the event of a tie between countries, the country with the highest finishing member in the respective tournament will be declared the winner. All individual country and forum prizes will be distributed by Betfair Poker.

b. Only one pre-registration is allowed per person. Violation of this rule is grounds for invalid pre-registration, disqualification, and/or revocation of prizes, money, and/or forum points.
c. You may only select one forum to represent per event, and once selected, your choice is final.

e. Forums teaming up with each other is strictly forbidden. Any forums caught teaming up will be ineligible for any forum prizes for a period of time at GGEs discretion.

And to top it off im still waiting for my prizemoney. Dont even know how much i got or how many places were being paid out. but i know its a share of $1845. Im guessing around $50 but who knows...

If its going on betfairs payouts then it will only pay top 9 but i think ofc games normally pay top 30.

As far as I'm aware 30 places got paid in the FR, I bubbled in 31st. But I got a mail from Wolf/GGE stating that there was a problem with the payout at Betfair but it was being sorted.

I was happy with my game. I was all ready to go after going out so early on saturday night in the freeroll and i wanted a seat in that wsope final grr dammit. All night my game was good. Ok i got lucky a couple of times but you cant win a tourney without a lil run luck along the way.

I was in 8th with 8 left at one point. After a few hands i was suddenly sat in 2nd with nearly double chips to 3rd and 6 left. I fucked up.. I know i did and i knew when i was doing it i shouldnt be doing this.

After getting knocked down to 6th with 6 left i couldnt find a way back the blinds were killers. Ah well bring on the next one.

Nice one barty. i complete forgot the games were on this weekend
from my experience of playing freerolls that a organised by a 3rd party on Betfair, it usually takes upto 72 hours for prizes to be handed out. they are very much for making sure all those who cash in these games are entitled to their winnings. i know the GFC and OFC are different than most games but know that Betfair will more than likely still be as tight as ever with their security checks

I got my payout now too.Not too bad i got $120. Gives me something to play with anyway. Didnt need to provide ID tho but i am a depositing player and have been there quite awhile so maybe i have sent it them in the past.
