so when you have never seen this on your casino tables nor on a televised event, you think its retarded and not allowed? of course it is and you can show your cards and fold but you have to say fold loudly - this is nothing uncommon, its pretty much standard and up to each player on the table if he wants to show what he folded in that case or not - usually its used to create an image, that you can also lay down playable hands (which AQ is surely)
