were you thinking about e.g. suited connectors on his hand? or 55? would you also declare that as a bad beat if he had a draw after the flop and would hit it with the turn, without coming the ace on the river?

Nearly too many possibilities to loose the hand.....

I don't agree Don..the only thing he could have was 55, but it was very unlikely..wouldn't have u gone trough the hand too?? the only hand he could have hit on the turn was 37 or 78 but he would have probably folded pre flop an he surely wouldn't have raised on the flop..Definitely a Bad Beat (would have been worse if you had gone all in after the river)

He could also have had 4/5 on the flop, as it was limped preflop but yes being 1 outed on the river is definately a bad beat in my book
