Now I know that bad beat storys are boring to hear (for me anyway) but I saw this thread and thought I'd get it off my chest lol. So I'm 3 places short of making the money in a MTT last night, and the big stack has been attacking my BB pretty much every hand, so I wait patiently for a hand I can make a stand with. Anyway, I get dealt QQ eventually and he raises in the cutoff 4 x the BB, so I re-raise him 3 times his bet (maybe I should of gone all in) and he calls. The board comes J-x-x and I go all in, and he calls with AQ... Kerching! I think to myself, but the turn is a K and yes, you guessed it, the river is a F***ING 10!!!!! making him a straight. Gutted lol.

It happens live too. Was down to last 4 and i had abotu 28k in chips. Thechip leader had about 80k and had been pushing all in on anyone who raised. I had only played massive hands for last 20 mins as he took out a good few people knoing i needed a fairly decent hand to do much with the way he ways playing. Then got AK under the gun. Blinds were 4k/2k i raise to 15k looking for the "mad" cgip leader to possible push whoch he did. I had know from how he was playing he was caling all in and pushing all in with a huge range of hands from raggy aces to Q8 os so was a instant call for me. Reckoned at wors i was in a coin flip. This time he had J 10 and was about 63% to 37% to win. It was blantantly obvious that i had a big hand but he still pushed over the top of me and caught a J on the turn. He went on to win the game with two more rediculous plays that got lucky

Damn, bad beats suck eh? although I've only been playing poker for about a year now, I'm learning not to try and 'get well quickly' when someone sucks out on me, If I'm still in the tourny I might even sit out for a few hands or if it's a ring game I'll actually leave the table and go for a ciggy or something to chill out. Having never played live yet, I have that to look forward too lol, I wonder how I'll handle it?

Ihave had a god few live bad beats live usually to go out of the tourney. I find it easiest to just say good luck to all and then hang around watching the rest of the game for a bit till I cool down (don't want to be driving home in a rage). In away i don't mind suck outs, it is the plain stupid lay that makes no sense and gets paid off that annoys me.

I hate those straights, i got knocked out of 2 tournaments with such straight on the river hands two days ago in one of them i had AA

Thats poker, you loose some . i think that there is nothing to do
