Yes. Also, many players play small stakes online, which increases the bad beats because it's hard to bet people out of the pot. Lots of bad calls mean lots of bad beats...Even at the same stakes as you would play live, it's easier to click the mouse anonymously and call because you don't have to face a player after pulling of your 2 outer!
