How to lose J-10-10 flop w/J-10...
I was playing in a tournament, pretty big prize pool though I don't remember exactly how much, when i got dealt J-10 in the big blind. there were 2 other players in on the hand. Third position min raises, mid position re-raises min again and i like the size of the pot so i call and third position calls. flop comes, Jd-10d-10c.
I look at my Jc-10s and try not to shit myself seeing as i have a chance to triple up. So i decide to slow-play the hand as to reap the benefits of my flopped full house..
Third position checks, mid position bets about 2/3 the pot. I take some time to 'think' about it and call, third position calls as well.
Then comes the turn, 4d. I think to myself, great, if someone had a flush draw i could one up them with a full boat, especially if its an ace of diamonds.
Third position checks, mid position bets 1.5 times the pot. at this point i figure he's got the flush and wants to take the pot down to avoid any full houses. and so i push all-in, third position folds, mid position snap calls.
He shows AdQd and so with one card left to go i've got a 97% chance of winning and as i begin to celebrate out comes the king of diamonds, royal flush....i was a second away from tossing my laptop out the window...
