pocket 4's vs AK??
this has been botherin me for a lil bit and im still not sure what was the right play to make. If you're playin in a tourny and uve made the final 20 out of 1500 in 1 of the 50$ freerolls would you move all in with pocket 4's? heres the situation:
Blinds are huge and you are a little bit of a short stack. One or 2 double ups can put u back up with the average chip stack. The chip leader at the table has been movin all in pre-flop ever since u are transfered and has shown the hands AK or AQ 5 times already (Bit of a card shark huh?). He moves all in, everyone else folds and you are the last to act. If the blinds are creepin around to send you into an early grave would u call this guys all in knowing he has one of the above pair?
*naturally i called-and he hit a K on the river =S*

Itīs a insta call for me on this Situation. Youīre shortstack and need a double up so you havenīt time to wait for Premium Hands. So if i would know my opponet have just two overcards I take the coinflip except on the bubble Position.
Itīs never a false to go All in wiht the best Hand and maybe you have a tight tabelimage so you also have a Fold equity by your opponent.

I would surely have called. You have a pocketpair and out of stack... You could wait untill you had to put a blind and then have a crap hand and so lose with a chance of winning of 10% and with your pocketpair(1vs1) a chance much higher than 25% of winning
I would called it. It was just a freaking lucky bastard

i would of called him with the pocket 4's, would be a different story if i would have had more chips but becuase i would of been low on chips and the blinds were coming around to take me out anyway. so i think you made the right choice but didnt end up the way you wouldnt it to.
better luck next time

I'd have called simply for the reason that when you get down to that point in the tournament, you're heads up and have to push your smaller edges. That was one of em even if it was only 1% and its tough shit if you get put out. You got put out playing for the win

I would push it on the pre flop if anything, if flop was ugly with any face cards i think u have to fold it, as its very likely they have face cards...unless ur remaining stack is so small it doesnt matter anymore
