Default AA in small blind

I was in 6 handed MT tournament. Blind was $100 I had AA in small blind, everybody fold to me and I call. Big blind raised to $200 Should I just call to set up or raise? If raise is right play, what would be right amount to raise?

Why did you call? Even if you're gonna trap, it is ALWAYS a bad idea to call AA. You should've raised 300-400 in the first place. In response to your original question, re-raise to 600-700. It's better to win the big blind than to lose to a shitty hand bcus of a lucky flop

One thing I've learned the tough way: if you're playing an AA, you'd better raise preflop (and I'm not talking about minraise).

You should raise at least 2/3 of the pot. And if this means more than half of your chipstack, you should move allin.

I always raise preflop with AA, been burned wayyyy too much to make that mistake. Personally, if I get reraised with AA, I usually stick in about a pot sized bet. I like to get the opponent all but commited because if they're reraising you, most likely they have a big hand like KK, QQ or AK that you have dominated.

Red face Thanks

Looks like your question thing at the end of the post worked. Also not having to sign in is nice too. Good job. Nice list. Thanks.

Always raise ~ it's 6 handed, many players tend to be more agressive when it's short-handed.

A limp-raise is a very strong move. I think you should raise from SB when it's your turn, your opponent can think that you try to steal his/her blind and might try to re-steal. After it, you can get on the top and move all-in.

Good Luck at the tables!

Always raise in that position m8. Raise at least double pot, why give the guy a break to see a flop and beat you with 2 crap pair or flush draw. Take the big blind and get on with.

There are variables, but not knowing the players or stacks at table I would say give him a stock 3x raise there.

Put in a big raise so your opponent can't call with a medium hand and beat you with the flop. It's better to win his blind.

As already noted, limping is certainly questionable. However, given that action plus the raise, I would tend to call against an aggressive player, and look to check raise the flop after his expected continuation bet. Against a player who is less likely to make a CB, I'll tend to make a standard re-raise.
