Default Today's donkey move

Lesson for the day: when you're in seventh position, have three limpers behind you, and raise the pot with AJo, have the SB go all-in, and have two of the limpers call-- and the price is less than half your stack-- laying that AJ down on the last hand of the rebuy round of an R&A tournament is a bad, bad idea.

The guy who went all in out of the SB had 96o. The guys who had limped previouisly and called him had QTo and K2s.

Who feels like a moron now? Of course, had I called, that ace would not have hit on the flop...

The number of guys who ended up in that pot, though, was just begging for a cracked pair. Not that I could've known that at the time!

What keeps nagging at me, though, is that it was an R&A tournament. People do really dumb things (like going all-in with 93o with two limpers and a raiser behind them...) in the first round of an R&A, and it's got me thinking that having somewhat looser calling standard is not a bad thing.

At the same time it's got me wondering whether the original raise was a good idea...

nah, raising the loose limpers with AJ is good. Maybe even just push pre since it's rebuy hour and people will call you superwide.

After all that action i guess you can fold since AJ doesnt fare to well in 4way allins

Default A-J pretty marginal preflop

Don't get mad for making a good decision.
A-J would be a real marginal call pre-flop.
Especially v.s A-Q or better.
You have to pat yourself on the back cuz a lot of playersdon't have the skill to make a good laydown when the action tells you to get out of the way.
You gotta go with the ebb n flow of the table mainly because it all depends on the Players stacks limits ect.

If you knew they were maniacs you might have take the risk;however, sometimes good play gets punished thats just the way it goes sometimes.

Even taking into account that it's a rebuy, there are things to consider beyond automatically playing bingo. For example, what kind of table are you at, and how much if anything do you have left in your rebuy / addon budget for the tournament?

You should EXPECT that in REBUYS. They are loaded with donkeys.
