I HATE rebuys...The only thing rebuys do is allow people to go all in with draws and take alot of gambles.. Everytime i join a rebuys its more like a freeroll.

Well I used to hate 'em but now I enjoy sitting/playing tight and watching the shovebots gradually enhancing the prize pool. What I DO hate is when a free-roll gives a qualifier to a RB/AO tournament, like Blue Square GUKPT FR's which give a ticket to a £109 RB/AO. If I had £109 to spend on poker, I wouldn't be playing the Freerolls.

Don't like rebuys one bit.I struggle with patience and tactics and the rebuy format doesn't help me improve these areas at all.

Mouse.

One thing i find funny in rebuys is when someone rebuys 5 minutes before the break when the average stack is 7,500-8,000 compared to the 2000 they just bought

Rebuys can be very profitable, let the donkeys and fish increase your prize pool. My strategy is to build a decent stack before the break, take the nuts draw with multiple callers, rebuy if it fails but don't just go all in with anything and everything, always work out your moves and consider the return you will get back. After the break it is amazing how many players will continue the bingo calling all ins. A good player can sit tight and wait their opportunity, this is where its necessary to have a decent stack. You can get some really good returns from these tourneys thanks to the idiots as long as you stay focused on the objective and don't get tilted by their poor play and antics

Default Rebuys not for me.

After wiewing all the answers i can say that i never tried a rebuy game and after reading this i never will. Thank god for Freezeouts.

Even Freerolls are terrible if you get on a table with the dokeys that go all in just for fun. POKERTERRORISM is the name..

i have never played a rebuy, but as i can see, it sucks =P
lol
that was what I imagined rebuys were... if you have a big bankroll, like $300, u can enter a $1 rebuy, then do as much rebuys and addons as u can, then u will have a big chance to reach the first positions, and you will not affect your bankroll too much.
but rebuys and addons suck

If you are really patient in a rebuy you can build a big lead real quick. But there are always some crazies that get lucky a few times that have a big stack too.

I avoid them. I like the freeze out style. I like playing real poker from the get go. In rebuys you have to wait till the rebuys stop before you can play real poker.
