First of all I would not have raised 10xbb in such an early stage of the game, 3/5x bb as a feeler. Only 2 in the hand, on flop I'd put a feeler in, say half the pot, if he calls/raises you know he got some of the flop or possibly hit a set if he's playing small pocket pair, depending on my chip count I'd continue to bet again, possibly 100/150, if he raises I fold losing only 250/300 chips. If the game was into final stages I would be allin pre flop no matter how many are in the hand.

Well when playing in a $10k tourney I would be playing to cash in and playing my best game. I often play in a $100/$50 freeroll and that's the ones where I practice different styles of play, a little different here and there but not in a $10k game where you could win $2k +. I'm not trying to tell how to play but you must be on top form to win these games. Hope this helps. My opinion only but I'm sure there are others who play your style and would agree with you.

Of course you have to consider how your opponent has behaved all throughout the tournament,if he's notouriously a bluffer you may consider to call..In any other case, if you didn't go all in pre-flop it means you still have chips enough to go on so,I know how difficult it is, but I would fold

Hi, after your to big raise preflop, you should at least bet 50% of the pot as a feeler, if the BB reraise you than just fold and take your losses.
In a 10K freeroll you should play KK as aggressif as possible, just go allin if early in the tournament, you will need a lot off chips in the later stages around the bubble when the blind are mostly high, and on the finale table it becomes a crapshoot with blinds of 10K or higher.
in the aerly stages there will almost always be a donk who will call with a lower card, and a dubble up in the early stages can give you an advantage later and some respect for your stacksize that you than can use to bully a bit with medium hands.
in medium or later stage you can just limp in, if you hit the flop raise small 2/3 times BB. if you missed just call and fold if A on the table and there is a raiser.
