Always trust your feelings, if you don't trust it just fold. I even folded QQ and KK on my gutfeeling, it proved correct 80% of the times, its the most important rule in poker, iff you have second thoughts about your hand, just fold. Folding is not loosing.
normally i call the reraiser to see the flop, and if hit i raise big.

ive been in this position many times....for me it depends on the other players who are in the hand and their chip stacks....pre flop i would have to call and at least see the flop, depending on how much had been reraised that is....allways remember if you have chips you can come back and fight in another hand, and you can see how these players approach the rest of this hand for future guidance...its an s&g so they will be there throughout the game unlike mtt games where you can be reseated the very next hand....

If I was deep stacked i would call that for sure... and there are other things wou should consider, specially the way that the reraiser played on the last hands, if he is a loose guy, maybe hes got the same hand, or even worse than yours

I would even fold AA preflop if it's too expensive to call, depending on my stack and the number of players left. I think time is the main factor in a tourny.

if time is the main factor do you advocate running down the time bar every time it's your turn?
it seems to happen on most tables near the bubble.

I don't advocate this because it meeses up the game, but that's the reason why so many players do it. On the other hand I sit out when i have enough chips (comparing to the average stack) because you can have better results sitting out than having a bad beat early in a tourny.

When is it proper to fold AKo. I think in your example you typed out if it was to tight depends exactly on how big your stack was not only in general but compared to the player that reraised. If he has less chips then you do I would say it was a fine play, not to tight at all. But if he was pretty well stacked up he was probably just trying to move you off the hand and maybe either had AK, AQ or even a mid to small pocket pair. Also the position also is a factor, if he's betting first after the flop than you have a better assestment of what is going on and should be even more inclined to call.
With that in mind if it wasn't over half of your stack to call I would have called. Poker is about ups and downs in tourneys, so a call and then a fold after the flop if you hit nothing and he bets big isn't so bad in hindsight. Because if you do hit an A or a K I believe you would be ahead already and have full control of the hand no matter what the other guy does.
As for the person that said they fold AA preflop, why? You have the best hand and you must get the chips in whenever you have the best hand. That is not even too tight, I think that's just absurd.
