Lost with AA today, twice the other night in one game, and I think at least 2 other times this week that I don't know the specifics of. AA just isn't any good right now. I don't think its just you and me ~ it's been a disaster hand for many this week since I started paying attention to how they were doing.

For me it's JJ, but usually it's my own fault for playing it wrong... The usual scenario is I'm in early position and bet LARGE before the flop, someone will raise me or even go allin, and I will feel compelled to call even though my gut is telling me they've got better or maybe a,k which I don't really want to go up against 'cuz most of the time they will get their damned A.... When will I ever learn? It is just NOT that great of a hand...

I hear and did read all of your posts here. I can give an answer as to an other player at poker stars had A A, in the big blind, I had 7 6 clubs, in small blind. He slow played them A As. Four player after flop saw me betting (I hit a 7 plus two clubs hit felt), he calls 4 X BB as does one other player, turn 7, and river a 6. Well they both had 4 X my chips I go all in. Five hands later he was out because he went on tilt. Also rail me to the final table name calling etc me all the way.

So the way I look at it over all is you should not get married to two cards. There is always a hand that can beat you. You control how much you will lose in any pot, game or tournament. There is no such thing as being pot committed.

Also you got to chose how you play a hand may it be A K or 2 2.
Just chose well and good luck is all I can say since I do track which hand has lost me the most as of yet.

Its the same for me. Now i just try to tell myself its 99 im holding instead of JJ.....that way i dont overplay the hand and its easier to fold it. AK isnt my friend either....Never hit a flop with that hand

there are 2 hands that seem to get me the most.

the first hand

AQ : great starting hand to good to fold but yet not good enough to win. i find myself calling a allin way to much playing AQ and find myself against AK most of the time and end up losing.

the second hand

this hand has cost me alot of money in both live games and online. it is a great starting hand but yet i find myself on the losing end most of the time. QQ, i will lost over 70% of the time when i have this hand to someone playing K and some random rag or A and a rag and most of the time its on the river when i lose.

I myself go out on a variety of hands mostly coz im always the small

stack and am having to gamble, or is it coz im a DONK lol............

But anyways pocket pairs are probably my downfall, AA looks as if most have

had bad runins wit them, my worst is bac2bac pocket rockets at Final

table losing both times and ending my tour..

I used to lose a lot with AK-AQ, but after you learn to fold it after a reraise or a bad flop is not such a big deal.

Checking all this with hold'em manager, I have found out that after 4650 hands, I have won all my hands with QQ! Curious =P
