If you had any idea about this strategy, you'd know that it is good for DEEP STACKED tournaments.
Follow this link:Small ball poker - Daniel Negrenau's strategy

In $1 SnGs there are many rookies and they play lots of hands which doesn't make sense. Like J 3 offsuit. OR they overbet the pot, etc. They are beatable if you can gather information about them and their play and you can use it against them.

Good Luck at the tables!

Small balling (?) is good for cash games too ive found, a passive table, happy to limp and just call are ripe for the picking.

Cheaper turns & rivers and when you hit your hand - fire away and watch the panic and confusion spread.

Daniel Negreanu's samllball is good strategy. It's an advance strategy though, observing the players are key to success.

This is probably the closest to my strategy and works well for a while, but it stops working when the blinds are so big and everyone starts to steal blinds with huge bets. I think you have to mix it up at some point.

It also explains why I can't do a freaking thing on the carbon poker new player freerolls.

As already noted in this thread. small ball is really intended for tournaments where you have deep stacks. It's a strategy where you're willing to play a number of small to mid-sized pots with mediocre hands, usually in position. This is viable with deep stack because even when you lose some such pots, you still have lots of chips left relative to the blinds. The problem in most online tournaments is that losing a few small pots drops you into the area where even a mid-sized pot is for all your chips.
