Default How to play JJ?

This seems like an age-old question. How to play JJ pre-flop in first position? mid position after someone bets twice the pot? I feel like i always get screwed with this hand...

any advice/experiences would be great

You can make the standard 3X BB raise, limp, or shove. I do not recommend shoving, as it is too dangerous with so many players left to act. If you limp, you have to play them like a smaller pair. You are really looking to flop a set here. If there are overcards on the flop and there is betting and raising-basically muck them. If you raised, depends of the flop if you should make a C-bet or not. If there is no ace, and just one overcard on the flop I'd make the C-bet. Oh, and one more thing-nothing really works well with that hand!

There is no one way to play jacks, what postion are you refering to because each postion is different.

From early postion I will try and raise to see if I can get people out.

From middle postion if people are limping I tend to follow, depending on chip stacks.

A question like this is hard to answer because of the variances in the game. But I will usually not try the push move at anytime.

hmmm yeah there are many many many variations, especially since each table will have different types of players. the problem i always run into is if i slow play it and limp in then some jerk with A-4 off calls and hits an Ace. if i raise then usually no one jumps in or its AK so its tough

I was in a new depositor free roll and i was up a lot. I only lost about 5 hands that round, three of them having JJ involved. The first two times i raised a lot with JJ and got called and was up against higher pairs. the last time i had A10 in small blind, everyone folded, so i went all in to steal blinds and he happened to have JJ.

so i sorta feel like no matter what you do, JJ screws you over!!
