due to all the cheating that does go on in online poker.i thought i would try and help you with a few simple clues on how to spot them.
cheaters can easily be spotted by how they play for example they normally opperate in pairs and how this works is,the two players sit opposite each other this way they can trap players by simply the first one will call the pot the other will re-raise once the others have bet and 9 times out of 10 they will fold.
so if you see 2 players who play a lot of hands together be very carefull as they could be cheating .it is a very easy way for cheaters to make money.they can also communicate very easy either by msn or phone to let each other know what cards they have.this kind of cheating normally happens at the higher stake ring games but can happen at the lower stake games as well .so be very aware when playing these tables espacially no limit tables
if you do suspect you have cheaters at your table 1st report itto the poker site involved and then leave the table do not let these cheaters spoil your enjoyment of poker so the simple rules are
be very carefull
keep your eyes openfor 2 players playing a lot of hands together
never take all your money to the table
think twice before playing at no limit tables
and most of all enjoy your poker dont let these cheaters spoil your game

great advice bls, and as you say the best way is to report to the site as they can view the exact hand histories if there is suspicious play and if they think there has been collusion they can freeze the players accounts
other thing to cheating is when players start speaking in other languages at your table.
it could be innocent chat on the other hand they could be telling each other what to do, but as you said they would be really stupid as msn would be easier

Nice Article!
Think the worst thing is if its a table with at most 6 players and both cheaters are connected by phone. Then the chance to calculate the other hands is that high that they win every hand or folg withoud loosing money (if both of them have bad hands)

The only practical system I've seen allows one player to play 5-6 players from one computer. Most cheating systems seem very inefficient online. I'm curious, where did you get this info that "all this cheating" happens in online poker?

For people than don't beleve on this, I just sujest tp keep theirs eyes wide open.
I could have posted here an example showing how this can be set in less than 30 min, that let's 3 ou 4 frinds GanGletting them to manage to find seats for 2-4 of them at same table at the same time, can you guess yours odds? -+0%........
I can't go further, cause on doing this I willhave to describe the trick, indeed a very simple one, behind it............
Ican bet that many of youhave allready get known of this one.............

I have run into collusion many times in live play at my local Harrahs. I used to be a regular in my old town at the $2-$5 NL game. 'Out-of-towners' would come in all the time and sit 4 or 5 seats apart and try to trap all the money in the middle. This is not a hard thing to spot live. the ol' limp-raise-reraise is one of the oldest in the book.
The thing that makes this so hard to prove is that a player may use his chips in any way he sees fit. If he wants to make an outrageous reraise with a 6 and a 4 in his hand, he has the right to do so. I have been caught in between players who were 'working together' along with many of my regular opponents at this game. They're not hard to beat. Give them some chips. Get them used to taking your money without a flop every time. Every 3 orbits or so should suffice. Just wait.
The amazing thing about these guys is that they always think it will work. Wait for two kings. You'll get them eventually, and when you do, it's time to get back all those blinds and min. raises they've stolen from you. The thing you have to keep in mind is that they have to be the aggressors. The people that do things like this aren't neccasarily good enough consistently beat a cash game on the up and up, but that's not to say they don't know anything about poker. I believe that you'll have a harder time proving that two people are colluding, considering the fact that you may use your chips however you like, than you would have just waiting for a hand and punishing to the fullest when their plan that was so well laid gets beaten to a pulp.
If you're afraid that this won't work, just leave the table. If you can't control your emotions well enough to be patient, just leave the table. If almost every time you play there are two people who are probably cheating and you're hardly ever going to have a fair shot at winning, just leave the table and go read a book, because it's just not as common as people think. I believe what it boils down to is people not quite having the skill level or discipline that they think they've attained, but they're so convinced that they're one of the best that if they're going to lose, someone must've been cheating. Keep in mind that the game of poker involves raises and re-raises, checks and bets, calls and folds. Generally aggression is what pays dividends and many people do play with blind aggression because they have no reasoning abilities. Doesn't mean they're cheating.
Hope I didn't come off as too incredibly harsh on this, but this sudden widespread idea of 'everyone's cheating and they're all targeting me' is a bit ridiculous, in my opinion of course. At any rate, happy hunting and good luck.

I agree w/ every single word you wrote, but the best in your reply is the trick to get out of the trap before loosing a few........... oncein a while I could see this opportunity window that you have mentioned................ makes sense, but you need balls to handle it in high lim tables............ and I guess that mine are toosmall yet.......... besides allmost having tried to do so, twice.
