Wednesday Singles League - Update

Ok I am willing to run this for another "season" if people want to play it again. However I cannot start it this Wednesday for a couple of reasons:

1. The Leagues software has disappeared, I don't know whats up with it at the moment

2. The games currently being listed to start are at 8pm UK time, that is no good for me, it needs to be 9pm.

3. If you lot have any suggestions to improve the league I am willing to listen. Not saying they will be implemented, but if they are good suggestions I will certainly look at them.

Post in this thread if your interested in playing and I'll update as soon as I know more.

i cant see where anything needs improving as it all ran ok and the system seemed to work

i say if it ant broke dont meddle

im up for playing again and defending my title (still waiting for an accolade of some sort )

1 suggestion that has already been mentioned + i dont know if there is a way of doing it

we have to play 5 games out of all games to qualify

so some people are here every week without fail and can play + win more points for the final but some people cant make every game because of work/getting pissed/ family stuff - you know what i mean

so cant there be some sort of scale where if you can only play 5 games

hmmm as im writing this its starting to look less feasable lol

well you prob got the jist of what im trying to say so i wont go on because i dont think its gona be possible to do anything lol

Reading Git's post about people who can't play as often gave me a thought. It is not one which bothers me personally (as I have nothing better to do with my time than play poker) it might help others.

As the final is a unique starting chip format, does it matter how many games people play? The less they play the fewer chips they start the final with.

Then again would you want someone playing 1 league game and winning the final (unlikely maybe but certainly possible).
