Default medium pair

You have some medium pair 99 or 10 10, late position, raise 4 time big blind, 3 or 4 flop all card are below your pair. two of them are same suit in this situations if someone bets it got you beaten and smartest thing is to fold. He have straight, set or pocket pair stronger then yours. I lost lot of money thinking he have top pair with ace kicker and he can't fold that.
Am I wrong?

This is one of many situations where it can be very useful to have an appreciation of various opponents' play styles instead of simply assuming they all play the same way since what each person does after the flop can vary depending on their holdings.

middle pairs need to be able to be folded, meaning dont get in so deep you cant let them go.

I never raise with medium piar in ring games. I have learned that there is always someone who will call and then go all in on the flop.. its better to just call and then fold if nothing comes on the flop.

Red face I dump them

If the bet is to rich for my blood I will fold. I usually check call up to abut 4x-6x bb unless the bloody fool is known to bluff alot.
If someone shoots more than that at the pot they gotta have a huge hand. I personally only like to play middle pairs when I make a set, then I will play it hard to the end. It seems when you have a pocket pair one or two other will also have them. IDonno why it just seems like that is how it works out. I end up running into Aces or Queens.
You shouldn't risk to much on a moderate pair.
