I have been playing with 10 Buy ins at 25 NL Full ring on PStars. I normally play 2 or 3 tables so actually I have a bit more invested each time. Anyway I am now over $500.00 in my cashier and am thinking about moving up to 50 NL, playing only one table. Which is better, playing 3 or 4 tables of 25 or one table of 50?

Its down to yourself really and how comfortable you are playing for more of your bankroll.

But you obviously are comfortable playing more than 1 table so maybe try playing one of each table and see how it goes if your bank roll continues to grow then just multi table 50 NL. If you find your losing your bankroll just stick to your 25 NL as you seem to do ok at that anyway...

Peace

id say to to move up to the next level playing just the one table at first to see how it goes and get a feel for the players as they are probably much better players at the next level so be carefull and dont make the mistake of playing to many at once

Gl with what ever you do decide xxx

I'll second the previous post in terms of playing one table at the higher level to see how it feels and to get comfortable with any changes you find before trying to multi-table.

It's a matter of opinion I guess, but I didn't notice much difference when I moved from NL25 to NL50. There were a few more decent players, but not many, and the mediocre and poor players were just as mediocre and poor.

Personally I think 10 buyins is not proper BRM but it is up to you. I usually go for 20 buyins at least for a certain ring game level (i.e. $1000 to play $50NL)

20 BI's @ $50.00? = $100,000 n'est ce que pas?
I think maybe the OP was playing $0.15/$0.25?

Most people buy in for the maximum at a ring table so a buy in of $50 represents playing at a 25c/50c game, so 20 buy ins would be $1000.

People often quote chris ferguson on these things and I think he says to never use more than 5% of you bankroll at any time for a cash game.

As for you rquestion the real thing to remember is that as long as you have the self discipline to move back down the levels if it isn't going well it doesn't matter what you do, but make sure you are comfortable doing it.

If you are used to playing 3 tables at once you might get bored and find your concentration wandering if you only play the one table.

Let us know how you get on.

One thing to remember is that BRM applies to your entire roll, not just what's on a particular site. IMO, that includes all the money you're willing to commit to poker, even if some of it is still in your wallet.

This. I won't move up unless I have 40-60 buy-ins. Variance is a killer.
