well dodger i can only agree with you downing(who) but all that count's is that we got the three point's. you know what we are like in our opening games so i was not surprised at the performance but in there defence i would say that they had a good first half just hope it can get better and better as the games go on p.s the ref was not in our favour why o why was he always giving a foul agains't crouch............

Hmmm...

What I can say about this game...I was waiting from England team more better play, so many mistakes and it wasn`t a beatiful football.

I think that Lampards, Beckham, and Cole played well, but from other players I was waiting more better football!

Hope that in next games England will show that football, which we all waiting from them!

Good luck!

I have to agree.. The first half was just what we wanted but when they came out for the second half it was like another team...

And yes that substitution was ridiculous...... I havnt a clue what must of been going through his head with that one...

Trinidad looked real good, so we are gonna have to play 2 halves against them on thursday...

Peace

whats the point in leaving Crouch up on his own so he can lay the ball off to himself?

Im a neutral as Im from wales and I dont mind watching England as I love footie but heres a few things I would do:

1) If you are going to play Walcott you need to give him some minutes on the pitch before the end of the group stage as the thoughs of playing such a huge game against one of the top teams may take its toll

2) Get Neville out he is spoiling the England side

3) Give Lennon a go as he will give some pace

4) Give Joe Cole a free roll so he can wonder round wherever he wants as I think he will have a stormer of a world cup

5) Get Mclaren to punch Sven in the face and take over for the rest of the World Cup (ok this is a bit harsh)

6) Get Ashley Cole to make his runs up the wing like he does for Arsenal

Thats if for now,, more ideas after the next match,,, maybe I will give Sven a call LOL

First half good, in control, creating chances.

Second half complete shite, typical england panic game letting them run all over us, and dont even mention subs, dont know what he was thinkin, dont think the players knew what he was thinkin

It doesnt matter how much talent you have in your side, if you have a knobhead in charge you will win bugger all.

The performance is irrelevant-the 3 points was all that counted.

Of course it is relevant because if you play that way against better sides and make silly tactical substitutions you dont stand a chance of winning it. You need a tried and tested system to make it work not just play as it comes as you need to know you opposition and Sven really didnt take note.

Course it was relevant! All good to get the points but....the way they sat back 2nd half doesnt send out the best message to the rest of the countrys! Trinidad and tobago are on a high afterthere point.....and england well they'll be feeling reluctant to have won. You have to question svens tactical desicions! Going one upfront and bringing hargreaves on! Has he seen hargreaves play? Or does he relise that carrick exsists? Personally i'd put carrick on before hargreaves! But lets hope the tempo is the same on thursday as was in the first half! Good Luck to them.
