Tribute to Sumosam (Micki)

As some of you may have read, sadly one of our members known as Sumosam passed away last week, on the 25[suP]th[/suP]. She was a really great person, and always stayed positive.

She was so happy to have found somewhere where she could always find a friendly, kind and supporting word, and that was Wass. When I spoke to her, she always made sure that I knew how much everyone meant to her, and how dear she held people in her heart. In her own words;

‘I am in a wheelchair after a gun shot put me here from a home invasion,my state of mind for the longest time was why even get out of bed untill I found this forum and people in it.

This is why I would like to try and at least give a little something back. I dont mean to rattel on but the people here hold a special place in my heart and all should be very proud of there respect and kindness they show for others with expecting nothing in return. You all have made an outstanding place for people to come together.’

This was a while back when we were setting up her $100 tournament, that many of you played in. I don’t know if anyone remembers, but at the time she was the first member to have a message featured in a newsletter! She was also a member of the ‘applebottoms’ for the first Wass League games.

She was a great person, and I am sure she will be greatly missed. Her husband Steve has posted a thread on the forum with a few words from sumosam. I am sure it would be a fitting tribute as well as good way to pay our respects to her if you wish to post;

I never knew her but is is sad when someone passes I feel for her family.

I still have her in my "contact" list on .com, I haven't been able to delete her. She was an amazing poker player and a beautiful, wonderful person. She will always be a part of THE DANGEROUS DIVA'S and she will forever remain a cherished member of Wass.

I did not know this lady but it sounds as if she will be missed by many people.
