I really don't understand where some of these nominations have come from. How do you decide out of the nominations you received which will be listed. Members do discuss what or whom they nominated yet some of those nominations are not listed. How does someone with 87 posts since 2007 get nominated for Best Wasser when others selected don't get posted for selection. How are we to judge best players when Brl stats are not available. Shouldn't all nominations be listed and let the members make their vote from that list. Is this not a poll by the members , for the members?

I do understand that you have to cap entries @ some point, but why make it random and who makes the decision to eliminate nominations ? Obviously not the members as a whole.

Personal captioned comments made directed at a person, also is totally unnecessary & unprofessional.

Whether she is a friend of mine or not isn't the issue here.
To error is human but it takes an even bigger person to forgive. No one can tell me they haven't made mistakes and asked to be forgiven. Life is too short to hold grudges and not try to get along.
Besides if we were all perfect ,how boring would the world be?

On the part about forgiveness I will comment here.

How many chances exactly is a person meant to be given?

When you warn someone not to do something and they keep doing it, where do you draw the line?
When a person chooses to openly belittle someone on a poker table, at what point do you draw a line?
When you warn someone about the content of what they are saying and it just gets worse, where do you draw the line?

Please tell me. As far as I am concerned if I am that far wide of the mark about how many chances a person should be allowed I will walk away from it all now.

Firstly, only votes sent by pm count and not what is posted or discussed on forum.

only a handful of people replied and sent in their nominations so basically anyone who got nominated in most categorys are there on the list.
the idea which has worked well over pervious years that people would send in their nominations and Tricks and MSMA (i am just filling in for Tricks this year) go through the votes and the top 4 in each catogory would be put forward for the 2nd round of votes. this year only a handful of catogerys had people with more than one vote so all were put forward.
Also remember the awards are mainly as a bit of fun.

i presume although it may not be that this person you are mentioning here is Tasha?

Tash is one of the few that has played a HUGE part in the Live Events in getting hotels and lunchtime meetups organsied, haggles at getting the best price for all so that its cheaper for the weekend.

as one that have not been fortunate to be able to come you wouldnt have known this but that is probably one of the reasons why she has been voted
