I agree with letting only the best 10 results count during a month.. That would even out (a bit) between those playing just about every game there is (get a life :-) and those that have some kind of limitations due to work, funds, family and alike.

I think top 10 for the month would work out well but may end in a tie? and the only other suggestion I have is ban those maxims from playing especially the MRS!!!

I think you could end with a tie with top 5 counting, but I think a tie is much less likely with top 10 counting. I am sure we could come up with tie breakers eg no of wins and wins in higher buyin if still tied.
Just looked at the leaderboard - woohoo, I'm in 34th place lol.

1. You count all games people play irrespective of wether its 30 or 10. But the people who play more shouldn't get an advantage and get more points. It should be about quality not quantity (thats what I tell my Wife anyway )
2. I agree that for points to count it should be a minimum of 10 buy in games played per calender month.
3. Here is what I mean: You divide the total amount of points gained by the number of games played. So if you got 1000 points, played 30 then your total is 1000/30=33.33 but if you got 500 points and only played 10 games your total would be 500/10=50
Now I think this is the fairest way by taking the average point per game ratio. But you need to play at least 10 games to count your score.
Ok made my point , dunno if it makes sense lol, nowyour all get some &
Problem is, if you have a couple of good tourneys early, you have a disincentive to play any more that month.

answer as many of these as I can in one post lol
Git, we considered no noobs lol but Jayc was having one of his warm and fuzzy days "their money is good" and since other ppl actually agreed with him going to give em a chance.
As for the scheduling of the games it's much more UK friendly than American as it is. Lot's of the games are on while ppl here are still at work.
As for changing it to the top 5 or 10 results that's not the way a leaderboard works (least none I've seen). Matkavs idea is interesting but then you discourage ppl from playing. If they've had 10 good results early on then they may not want to risk their average by playing the rest of the month.
We may eventually try to have something separate for the top 1 or 2 from each buyin. Maybe a winner takes all game but that will be a ways off.

You don't really wanna know how many Wass wins I have....ok I have four. Praise me!!
lol, I don't really have a suggestion - just wanted to say that I just noticed "Evil's philosophy of Life" -- and it sounds exactly like my 4 year old son's philosophy of life, lmao - I never knew you two had so much in common! :P

2 points occur to me:
Jayc having a warm fuzzy day? Doesn't sound likely. I am sure that wasn't just after he failed to win the "guarenteed" win last night lol.
A leaderboard can work anyway we want it too. If we want to encourage people to play as many buyin games as possible (a fair objective) then counting all games played is a good way to go.
If we want to see who has played best in these games then we should count a certain number of results as then people can't beat others just by playing more games. I think picking a number like top 10 gives a fair balance of both - playing a decent number of games (and the more you play the more chance of discarding poor results) and quality of performances (I too think quality counts more than quantity, not just because I am short on quantity, honest).
I am not worried if this suggestion is not accepted. I think the leaderboard will be good whichever way we do it.
