SO WHEN IS LEADERBOARD GOING TO GET SORTED

OK been waiting and waiting for the Leader Board to be updated for months, so who is in charge. Games are being advertised as leaderboard points so can we have it sorted ASAP please.
If Evil is too busy could someone else take it on who knows about these things.

Yes evil is too busy to run it as of now and we had asked if anyone wanted to run it and seems no one wants to. So until we can find someone that can commit to the games then they prob will not run.

Erm.... i said i would but never got any reply to my post to her so guessed she didnt want me to do it lol

Im more than happy to set it up again and maybe even change how it scores

Maybe run a wasspoker leaderboard and a seperate cake leaderboard so everyone has a fair chance at winning one of them.

I never really liked how it scored before because it seems to favour those that have money to play every game. Personally i think that top 10 should get points and not everyone, and also not use any kind of multiplier against the entry fee as again it favours the ones with more money on sites.

If you want me to run it ill set a suggestion thread up and then a poll so we can decide on how to score it or whether it just stays the same.

And try to get it up and running again for the start of June.

Im sure the leagues will have their own scoring and what not so if you still wanna use the buy in games for a consistant leaderboard then go ahead. Its all yours If you need anything let me know, i promise ill reply lol.

Thanks Barty for your effort. We have asked the question before about changing the scoring and it was decided to stay as it is but if your willing to run it I'll go by your rules. Start afresh perhaps.
It would have been nice to see how we all stood for the missing months but I suppose we will never know now and the prizes out the window.

N1 Barty. The scoring was always a problem for most people, especially the multiplier thing and getting points for finishing last.

Use to play in a league a few years ago where you only got plus points by finishing in the top half and negative points in the bottom half so wasnt necessarily an advantage to play more games unless you was consistent. Scoring rules from Poker League @ Muffmoney

LEAGUE RULES

i) The poker league takes a unique approach to scoring which we believe is much better suited to the nature of the internet than traditional league formats.

ii) It takes into account the fact that sometimes people won't be available to play and that new players may want to join, old players may want to leave and some people might want to have a couple of weeks off. It is an open, dynamic index of player's performances.

iii) In any given game, those who finish in the top half are awarded positive points and those who finish in the bottom half are given negative points - the amount of points in play depends on how many people are in the tournament.

iv) This way a new player has a good chance of getting a foot in the door without having to climb past everyone who is already invovled. This makes the games extremely competetive as you know that if you go out early you will lose points. It truly shows who are the best players because they are the ones who consistently finish high up and accumulate a high score.

v)At the end of the game if you have a score less than zero it is reset to zero the following week, no one has a negative score and only players with a positive score are featured on the league index.

vi) To make an example, in a twenty player tournament points would be awarded as follows;

1st 10 points
2nd 9 points
3rd 8 points
4th 7 points
5th 6 points
6th 5 points
7th 4 points
8th 3 points
9th 2 points
10th 1 point
11th -1 point
12th -2 points
13th -3 points
14th -4 points
15th -5 points
16th -6 points
17th -7 points
18th -8 points
19th -9 points
20th -10 points

vii) So the more players are in a tournament, the more points will be at stake.

viii) Additionally whoever finishes first in a game gets a ten point bonus. This really helps competition at the top between the very best players, rewarding a tournament win.

ix) The tournament currently takes place at vegas poker 247 14.00 EST on Sundays and 14.00 EST on Saturdays... In order to participate you have to be a member of the forum and have made at least one post - it's free to join.

x) The name of the tournament on Vegas Poker 247 is Muffmoney League and is a $3 buy in, *UPDATE* league players now qualify for a free league game with $100 added on the Sundays at 16.00 EST. The passwords will be posted in the forum and sent out via email several hours before the start of the tournaments.

xii) If you are tied for position in the league whoever won the most points in the last game takes priority. You must have a certified neteller account to receive your final position winnings.
