I had a little idea for a new table for people to look at how their opponents are fairing and obviously how they are doing in the Wass Poker buyin games. I'll try to explain it here and hopefully it will become clear to you.

Everyone who plays in any of the buyins that we use for the leaderboard will be in the ladder, whether they are in the leaderboard or not.

It will be ongoing, not just a monthly thing.

Heres how it works.

Everyone starts on 0 points, nothing new there. However, you can go up and down the ladder.

First of all we look at the number of players in the tournament. Lets say 20 to keep it easy. The 10 highest finishers are going to score plus points and go up the ladder, the 10 lowest are going to score negative points and go down the ladder. This means that some people will have minus points. So the winner will score 10, 2nd 9, and s0 on. 10th will score 1 point.

11th place will score -1, 12th -2 down to 20th who will score -10.

If there is an odd number of players the middle player will score 0 points. For example if there are 21 players the player in 11th place will score 0.

I hope that makes sense. Anyway here is the table as it stands for all of the games with 10 or more players in the month of July.

Basically if you finish in the top half of players in a game you will score positive points and if you finish in bottom half you will score negative points. So looking at the current standing your points show that you are having a good month. You may not be top of the leaderboard but it shows that you are the most in form, consistant player at the moment.

I'm on 0 which shows while I'm not finishing in the top half too often, I'm also not in bottom half too often. Ideally I want to be a positive number as that shows I must be moving in the right direction.

well when i looked i have to admit i was more than a little shocked......didnt expect to be up the top but i sure didnt expect to be at the very bottom.....i need to pull my socks up big time...

Thats where I thought it might help people Alan. Personally it doesn't bother me too much how other players are doing, I'm more interested in me.

The main reason I will look at this is to see if my form is good or bad. At the minute I must be a bit mixed as I'm on 0.

I have been updating this league too as we have been playing.

Personally things were going in the right direction, I had 0 when I first posted the league and was moving into the pluses. Then last nights game came along and I was rubbish. So now in the negatives.
