Smile How to Take a Screenshot

How to take a Screenshot

1. On your keyboard there is a key that is labeled "PrtScn" - the Print Screen key. This key is usually located on the top right hand side of your keyboard, often next to the "ScrLk" and "Pause" keys. Hold down the "Alt" key and press the "PrtScn" key.

2. Click on the "start" menu in the bottom left of your screen and go to "All Programs / Programs" then "Accessories" and then from this menu choose "Paint".

3. Hold down the "Ctrl" key and press "V" or click "Edit" then "Paste". The image should appear in the paint program.

4. Click on "File" then "Save". In the drop down menu labeled "Save as type" select JPEG (*JPG,*JPEG,*JPE,*JFIF).

5. Save the file somewhere that is easy to access and remember (such as the Desktop or My Documents).
After that I use photobucket Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket join/sign in.

From the navigation bar at the top of your album, select the "albums & upload" tab.

Navigate to the album you would like to upload your image into.
From the upload panel, click on the "images from my PC" tab.
Note: This process is the same for both Mac and PC computers, but the tab will say "images from my mac" on a Macintosh.

You can set the "max image size" for your upload by clicking on the 'options' link. You can do this either before you browse for an image, or after.
Note: You can also choose to "Scramble" your filenames from here as well.
Browse your computer for the file you want to upload.
Note: Make sure the filename does not have any special characters such as ( / * , ‘ …etc.

Double click on the image you would like to upload, or select the "Open" button with the image highlighted.
Note: Supported image file types are jpg, gif, png, bmp (bmp will convert to jpg on upload) and swf files.

The "click to add title" field will let you add a description or title to your image. This will display above the image in your album and will be accessible with Photobucket "Search" if your account is set to public.
Selecting the "remove" link will remove the image from the upload panel. If you would like to choose a different image, click remove.
Click on the "Upload" button when you are ready to proceed. This will start the uploading process for your image.

The progress meter will be enabled as your image begins to upload. This may take longer depending on the size of your image and the speed of your internet connection.

When the image has successfully uploaded, a message will appear at the top of your page that says "1 of 1 image has uploaded!"

Your image is now available in your Photobucket account for sharing and linking around the web!

After that. To get the image into the forum here. You will see the 3 boxes URL, HTML & IMG
Click in the IMG box which auto-copies then in the forum just "paste".

Vista Users

Extremely simple way to copy-paste if you are running Vista (my 8 year old nephew did it the first time he tried) One step process basically instead of using Paint:

Start-accessories-snipping tool (came with Vista)

Right click to put icon on desktop, and put the icon at the top of the screen (or wherever you want it, but I found its better at the very top center

Ok, you won and trophy is on your screen

Move the picture down a little (if you are using the full screen, because you have to click on the 'snipping tool' and you want easy access to the shortcut)

When you click on the snipping tool icon you will see the trophy page kinda fade out, and the "handles" for resizing-cropping the pic appear. Just drag the handles over the area you want copied.

No need to copy, paste, resize etc in Paint. Just use your mouse to crop the picture exactly where you want it

No more having to white out or black out your real money box either.
A perfect easy crop in one step.

It then shows you options to save, annotate or share the image.
