first of all i said that it was similar game to the BRL not the same as by that i meant that the members gets points and then put in ranking order to get points and then bonus points added to them

secondly i am not in a position just to change the scoring like that as it has been confirmed by our opponents .com that they were happy with the rules and scoring and we would have to go through them to do any changes with that i dont think they would because the new scoring takes their team off = 1st place and the same goes for the bottom team as of now they are 27 points behind the leaders but with the change they would be 37 points behind

maybe next time we do this cos we hope to continue it again after the 5 month period we can change it

thirdly the scoring system and rules have been advertised for almost a month so any deliberations and disagreements over them should have been done before the game started inmy opinion

it was meant to have been top 3 from each team but as we forgot to put that in the rules we cannot change that either now and again that would make a total difference to the team leaders and scores!!

i would love just to change it as it would put team wales into 2nd lol but right now i dont think we can

Well said Trish.

I agree with you both on this one. It woulda been better with the BRL score system but as Trish said you cant change it now. We will just have to make sure no .commers get to the final table again

I am glad you forgot to put in the rule about the best 3 counts. I would say the best 5 wouldmake ita better game.

Oh well, I guess we will have to live with the rules as they are then.

Does this mean that it might be preferential to just play your own game and get to the final table for the points rather than support your team mates and help them stay in the game?

well I cant say any more than trish has said - I think this way the scoring makes for a great race to include every single game so those at the bottom can still be in the running with a good erformance next game.

All to play for in game 2 - and please make sure that all our wass teams play for themselves - if we all know how it is then there will be no confusion, after all - another wass team is just as much your enemy as a .com team!!

well this is ultimately a team game so i would have thought you would be helping out your team, if though you mean team wass then it is intirely up to you whether or not you take out wass team players or help keep them in and reduce the .com teams instead.

Just reading this thread as its nearly time to go again.

As the captain of Wass Lords I have instructed my team mates to play, first and foremost, for Wass Lords. I believe that all of the Wass teams are strong enough to compete at the top end of this table. I know the last time I took out a couple of Wass players and I will do it again this time if I get the chance. I am NOT laying down good hands for anyone, apart from a Wass Lord.

I believe if we try to protect all of the wass players we will just end up weakening our own chances. The proof is in the pudding as one of the tables I was on, the .commers were playing for each other, and look at where it got them. Wass are in first.

P.S. The money is irrelevant as far as I am concerned. I am playing this for the enjoyment factor, as I do the BRL. I would play this game if there was no money at stake.

i did say that this was first and foremost a team game then a wass game and its the way we played pretty much last month and it will be the same again this month

we just need to kick arse somewhat and let them (.commers) kick themselves lol
