There are a god few of us Irish here on Wass but most of us live in the North.
and what do you mean no one big in the poker world coes from Ireland. Ireland has some amazing players and is the spirital home of European Poker.
Andy Black just recently won the Premier leauge of Poker beating 11 other of the top players in the world to take the title.
Marty Smyth from Belfast only a few days ago won the braclet for the $10k Pot Limit Omaha World Championship event at the WSOP scooping over $850,000 in the process (event 50) to go with winning the PaddyPower Irish Open in 2007.

And then there is Padraig Parkinson, Liam Flood, Donnacha O'Dea and Cirian O'Leary just to mention a few who are all highly respected in the Poker World

How could I forget Phil Laak There are so many great irish Poker people out there, even Alan Smurfit the business man who owns (ed) half the country is a decent player and has a WSOP braclet to his name
