WASS US LIVE TOURNEY - Poll #1 (North American Wassers Please Vote) - Online Poker Forum and Casino Community

MsMaxim has asked me to take over the planning of the first Wass US Live Tourney. To be quite honest I am limited on time, what with the four kids, finishing my degree, and the part-time job I hope to start in a couple of weeks. So, to lessen the work load I have added this poll. In spite of the fact that so many voiced their approval of the Chicago/Indiana arrangements in previous posts, there have been rumors circulating that some would prefer the festivities to take place in Vegas. In an effort to accomodate the masses I would like to see what the current feeling is. This poll, coupled with the poll I will post for any international wassers that are interested in making the trip, will help me determine where I need to focus my efforts in organizing this event. Please be aware that I have not checked for location availability or pricing as of this moment. Those details will be provided once I have assessed the needs and wants of forum members.

lol well looks like you aren't the only one. barty thinks he's from North America now. Didn't realize this was gonna be so difficult. meant to make it easier to decide what the locals wanted and then factor in our long distance friends.

I know some suggested Chicago and that some didn't even know there was a casino there. Ms. Fish, I see that your from MO. Have you considered Harrahs in Kansas City? Kansas City is Central America and Harrahs is easy to get to from the airport. There probabley would be enough rooms available and the wheather isn't to bad in March. Don't know if airfare would be that much more also.

By the way I voted for Vegas.

initially this event was being planned by a member that is no longer here at wass. he was close to chicago and made some contacts there... so we thought it may be easier to pick up where he left off.

there is a harrah's here(and a few other casinos) in st. louis as well and it's funny you should mention it because my husband and I were just saying today that we should ditch both ideas and just do it right here lol. I know you all really wanna see the Arch.

Yes, we all have a deeply buried desire to see St. Louis lol ....so deeply buried it may be hard for most of us to find :P not that chicago was on my must see list either.

OK, if we are gonna change to St. Louis, I have two requests (demands actually, but I didn't want to seem pushy)

1. The Fish have to put me up for the stay. (If we do it in Omaha, I will reciprocate).

2. I am given at least one free case of Budweiser, long-neck bottles, no questions asked. (that will insure my vote, and it has to be a pretty cheaply bought vote at that for you folks).

I say vegas, even though I live in Ohio, it would be alittle more for me to fly then to drive to chicago.

But either way, Im going to do my best to make it

I couldn't think of a better place then Vegas to have our first Us Live tourny, the best poker city meets the best poker forum....
