Yup im in the same boat. Newcastle didnt take card details and allowed cash payments so it may be worth phoning anyway to see.
They may even accept a debit card or get hold of a prepaid credit card Or get someone you know to book it then just pay cash when you go (remembering not to trash the room so your friend gets billed lol)
