STOKE REGISTRATION FEE ABOLISHED

As of Monday 12th April, registration fees are abolished for all poker competitions

5% rake will be taken from rebuy competitions 10% rake will be taken from freeze-out competitions

this could be good news for future live events ????

just a guess as it is Block's baby, but i would say it will not make much of a difference to us as the £5 paid usually covers deals, reg fee and food.

you might be right there step m8 but many of us play in tournament if we are knocked out early in the wass event so it might save a few quid that way

I like the way they say registration fee abolished, then tell you they are taking a rake. Is this not the same thing?

Anyway, our events the £5 covers buffet etc too so we will still pay the same.

I am in the middle of sorting out Stoke 2010 so I will find out what the score is for sit n gos. newcastle wanted to charge £5 per person, Stoke last time I believe charged £3.

I will get onto my contact and find out where we stand.

Its all the same thing. Now that the law has been changed to allow casinos to charge rake they don't bother to charge a table fee at ring games. SNG's will still have a charge for the casino, hopefully Stoke will be £3 rather than £5.
