It drives me crazy. Some of our players will all-in 4 out of 5 times until they are knocked out. I can't stand it. Why would they disrupt the game this way? I believe you should play what you got, but the idea that someone has this many good hands in a row is not believable.

What do you guys think? Is this really a viable way to play holdem?

In my opinion No but as one member put it, She was feeling lucky so why not play her way while she feels lucky. On the other hand alot of times it will put you out early when you come across a couple of players with the nuts.

All you can really do it seems is play tight keep your chips close to you unless you feel your the one with the nuts going to take him out.

Good Luck against these players,

I tend to sit out the first 30 minutes or so of any freeroll as by then most of these alliners have been wiped out, I know if I am actually watching I get a bit hetup and will call with high PP but more often than not these donks get lucky and I am out early which is why I prefer to sit out. I know quite a few people do this (sit out)and it hasn't harmed my tournement play at all.

let's say this all in style of play is the worst you got the nuts pre-flop but you want the raise when they hit there trash that is want you dont want,
and like denice said if you feel lucky you play your cards cause you can only feel lucky for so long till you then relize you ned to conserve and climb and this is were you take them.

As to the sitting out there is no points you will either get taken out then or when you comeback honestly they get some luck when they come back but it doesnt last and also they ar short stacked and have to play fast.

If I sit out then at most I only lose out around 100 chips so still have a good amount to play with, the reason I tend to sit out is because if I am watching these donks I get pretty narked and feel the need to call them with a decent hand to try and get them out but as I said, they seem to get lucky no matter what cards they hold. As for having the nuts preflop, no 2 cards are the nuts without seeing the flop, and ya can't see the flop if these guys are allin every hand. The amount of times ive seen rags beating AA is pitiful.

I know some people will go allin with a good hand and good luck to them taking that chance, I am saying that you can't have that good a hand 12 times on the trot, and when sum1 calls they show 72os and win!!

It's done to try and get as many chips as possible in the first few rounds. It happens with many free rolls across many different games. In the fist five minutes of play, you have people that will have 10 times the amount of chips that they started with. That's their agenda, they are playing so many different sites, that a loss on one isn't anything to them.

There is a strategy, written by one of the best poker players.. Something like.. No raise - go all-in with s. connectors, pairs and broadway cards. If someone raise - go all-in with AA, KK, AK. Else fold. If you'r lucky, it works

I like to play against all in players in the beginning of freeroll tournaments. I just wait right moment and usually i can double my chips couple times. Sometimes they are lucky but if i lose i just find another freeroll. When i have bigger stack than average stack i can play better poker. My self-confidence is better and i can try to bluff more and take riskes and i can wait good cards with my bigger stack.

Normal rules don't seem to apply in freerolls. With some of them having 5000 players, you're going to have to be really luck to make the money. Playing tight won't work (I've found). You have to gamble early on.

I try to get four times my starting chips very early so I play anything very aggresively. Yes I'll go allin on any pair. Only need to win a couple of times and I should have a big enough stack to see me through the next 90 minutes - picking up small pots when I get a hand.

There's no point starting a large freeoll playing tight as you want to take advantage of the crazy All-iners. Sometimes the first few hands of a freeroll tourny you have four or five players all-in. I would call with any two good cards as I've the chance to make a big stack. If I'm going to get knocked out of a freeoll, I like to go sooner than at the bubble.

So for big freeolls, gamble early on, if you get a good stack tighten up and steal when you can. You should make the top 5-10 percent. If you get lucky you might ,make the money.
