Rebuys are EVIL

I have come to the conclusion that Rebuys are EVIL EVIL EVIL. There purpose is to give you a second(or third) chance if you get put out early. Very good concept but it being misused. I played a tournament a couple of days ago and 3 people went all-in then did the rebuy to get back in - not once, not twice, but three times.
Ok, fine - I don't have an issue with this - but the best hand between the three of them was 8-7 suited.

People are trying to get lucky with garbage cards to get an edge.

Rebuys are OK if you can do it only one time. I dont understand why in some tournaments you may do it for a lot of times. And dont understand to those players too - they should play at cash table when its normal do this

personnally i never play them except after qualifying from a satellite. only good thing is that chips are easier to come by early in the game as many players take bigger risks.

Unlimited Rebuys are for all inners with more money than sense.

I can't understand why any sane person would consider playing them.

Its just a concept developed by the site to squeeze more buy in money out of players, if you are going to spend extra cash on buying in why not just enter a freezeout tourny with bigger prizes in the first place.

As the first post points out, a lot of players just all in at random on the off chance that they get lucky and kill a decent hand with some crappy all in, thats not poker it lottery time. There is enough luck involved in poker alreadywithout adding an extra level.

I myself completly agree. I cant stand when people go all in with nothing just because they can rebuy. I myself am pretty much broke, and i cant afford to rebuy and rebuy playing like an idiot. At poker.com in a $10 tournie with rebuys i sat there patiently for a while. and when the blinds hit 25 50 i got AA n went all in for around 1200 chips. Well the bb called 1150 after it was folded arround with 56 diamonds(he had about 3k in chips) i couldnt beleive that fish. HE outdrew me with 2 pair on the flop. But i mean he only had 50 and called 1150 more. I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "who cares its only money, and if i lose i can just rebuy again" i was so ticked. So trust me i hate rebuys and will only play freezeouts.
