Can one of the mods or an admin please take responsibility for managing the active tourny at Titan?
The number of posts regarding sitouts at Titan makes it clear that members are not happy, but each week the sitouts just keep growing.
It seems there are 2 or maybe 3 problems causing sitoutsat Titan
1) Active members whosign up and don't show
2) The password has been given out to non actives
3) Some people say they either can not connect or they become disconnected and can not reconnect.
The only valid reason for a sitout is connection problems, it must happen but it can only be used as an excuse a couple of times.
I have read posts from
Tethys ( unofficial stats manager and valued forum member )
Welshgit ( very active member )
and Spyder33 (mod)
All have complained about the sitouts and even gone as far as to spend timecompiling lists of the offenders. But so fartheir complaints seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
So mods or admin what can you do about this?
Some suggestions.
Renew the Titan pasword a bit more often, so the non actives who have been sneaking in can't do it as easily
If active members fail to show for 3 or 4 games in one month take away active status. For one month.
If non active members are caught playing in active tournys ban them from the forum ( they are clearlydishonest who would want them in the forum?)
This may seem a little bit harsh, but if we leave things as they are much longer, the term Active tournament on Titan will become a nonsense, if it isnt already. ( last night the Titan wass cass2tourny waswon by Not ActiveKrumdimitrov who has 2 posts both hassling members for free passwords) Great game Krumdimitrov but you shouldn't have been there
It would be nice to see a postfrom an Admin or Mod saying what can be done about this and if nothing can be done, why not?

hi braynake i have made lists and welshy and tricks too we have posted them and such . i would like to see a list given to titan poker the same as pacific poker and if your not on the list then you don't play.
i have posted a list of titan user names and there wass names as well because there has been alot of shit about your not active and you are .
to make things simple there is a list started and please if the active members don't see there names on the list then please post and i will add them to the list. the thread is started by me and i see there is one from powermax i took all the active names and their wass names but i see more people have posted under it so there is mor names to check. i hope this will fix the problems and a per the sit outs of active members if you know you can't make don't sign up in hopes of making the $$$$$.
i think tiutan poker should boot out the sitters like wass poker does. it makes it a better game once the sitters are gone. and if the actives sign up and sit out your right they should be demoted to a member for 2 weeks and if they do it again then they should lose there active status and have to wait 1 month to get active again.
hope this helps
cheers

Hi,
The passwords are being changed at the minute - it takes about a week to go through.
The most realistic thing we can do is try changing the registration time to just an hour or something before the tournament starts.

I agree...because most times...in titan..there are about 80% sit outs...and it's no fun...on top of that your basically playin 1on1 against someone..and if he has a big stack...it's perty unfair...

Hey, you know sometimes a person signs up with every intention of playing and things change at the last minute. Sometimes we just cant get back to the computer or sometimes real life takes a front seat and we forget the game we registered for.
If you want to take a responsible position on the listing of the sit out names I suggest you make your own list every week and post it just once a month with the names that have sat out every game. I noticed on the lists there are a few active members names I recognised and theseplayers would not "Sit out" as you put it and I am sure they have legitimate reasons for not making it to the table on time.
I have, I have apologised for the games I missed and even though I have a few things happening in my life at the moment that take presidence over my online poker playing I have still tried to post as often as I can because I enjoy this site.
At the end of the day,in life, shit happens. If you want to take on the roll of namer and shamer then do it responsibly and think about what your doing, I`m just glad that this isnt World war2...

Sure thing Baldy, no one is criticising anyone who occasionally misses the odd game.
But next time you playinActiveTitan tournyhave a look how many sitouts there are! Too many!!
This is an Active game and as you say the Active members probably have a legitimate reason for not being there.
So the majority of sitouts probably are players who should not have the password.
And if not, and it turns out that Active members are continually signing up and siting out, then maybe they dont deserve to play in active tournys.
Thats not for me to decide, but likeothers from the forum, I feel likeairing my viewthatthe Titan game is being spoilt by the ever increasing number of sitouts.
After allwhats the forum for, if not to give your viewpoint.
As for suggestingI make a list, I dont need to Spyder, Welshgit and others have beendoing it for weeks. And as for your comment about naming, shaming and being responsible I didnt actually name anyone except Krumdimitrov, who is not active and shouldnt have played in that tourny. Is that irresponsible?
In fact did you bother to readwhatI wrote before you posted your reply?
And finally your comment about World War 2, I think I know what your getting at.
Somehow I dont think its quite as serious (trying to sort outa few rogue poker sitouts ) as what went on then.
As far asI know The Wass Team arn't like the SS and they dont have any plans to put Krumdimitrov ( or any one else )up against the wall and shoot them.

Thanks for the reply Doc.
Sorry to hear changing the password is hassle but I think it might help, and Ireckon your suggestion, of sign up being nearer to the start of the tourny, should keep some sitouts off the tables

I never know from one day to the next if the wife will allow me to ignore her and play online poker!! I'm sure the ladies of Wass have the same problems with their husbands! :P
Therefore I only register for the Titan tourney on the night! Now it's not like this active tourney is going to fill up straight away, so what is the rush??
Everyone may have all intention of playing, but if they sign up a week or days before there are a million and 1 things that can happen before the game!
I understand it is easier to sign up a few days before whislt you happen to be playing on Titan, but what if you forget about the game??
Anyway, IMO Sign up the night of the Tourney when you know you are online and can play!! I shall get off my Soapbox now!! :P

yeah, i really like the one hour registration idea. it shouldn't be a problem for anyone that wants to play and should cut down the sit-outs to a minimum.
