Howdy gang,
Ok, well.... I haven't been getting my form for the past 2 weeks, not sure if I can be of any help.
I could play on Sunday, if need be. But don't want to bring you guys down, so use me as backup if want to.
I like the new set up, myself. I'll adhere to whatever is chosen, that's fine.

News in Daisy's life !!!!
Yep, my fear has come true. I have been relieved of my duty, with pay (thank god). I'm in the middle of a political situation @ work. It would seem that my illness is NOT accepted at face value. Anyways, let me just say this. Maybe I'm better off doing something that suits more my personality. I've never been very good at being in cages.
Stay tune for the NEXT instalment of "A day in the life of Daisy"
Cheers
Daise

I agree with every thing except for the one game a week, we could play one mid week, and later in the day for our teamies across the Pond to play at a more sensible time of day.
Now that we are only playing 6 members per game (now that the team is rebuilding to 10+) may I suggest that 1st member out stands down from the next game, to allow Capt/Vice Capt it easier for deciding Team selection.
All looks good either way.

1. Team BRL to be played on a Saturday evening only.
2. One season lasts 8 weeks. So month lengths don't change how many games there are.
3. Team sizes as they are now are fine. We don't want to tell teams they have to lose players.
3.1 However, Any team with 10 or more players will not be allowed to recruit any new players, they shouldn't need to.
3.2 If anyone wants to join the league then they can join any team with less than 10 players. The team MUST allow them to join, we need players to fill the league so why turn them away?
3.3 If a player leaves a team with more than 10 players and later decide they want to play BRL again, they must join a team with less than 10 players as per 3.2. This does not count for players who have simply informed their team and the BRL Manager they want a break, they then just stay registered for the team and keep it in house.
4. The 2 post rule will be dropped. They still have to make 2 posts but can do it in their own section.
5. Six players from the team will play the game. ALL of the players will score points according to final position, not just top 5. this we hope will make for better play within the game itself.
6. Team points to change from what it is now to:
1st = 20, 2nd = 15, 3rd = 10, 4th = 8, 5th = 5, 6th = 3, 7th = 2, 8th = 1. If more teams join this can be amended.
7. Final table bonus points to change to:
1st = 15, 2nd = 12, 3rd = 9, 4th to 10th 7,6,5,4,3,2,1. Hopefully the new points structure and higher FT bonuses will lead to better play, we can only try.
8. we have thought about bringing down the initial 50 posts to play to 30, but again spamming in a week just wont get you there.
To replace the Sunday BRL game we introduce a singles BRL league. Here are the things we discussed for that:
8. To be eligible for the singles you MUST play for a BRL team.
9. You MUST play a minimum of 1 game for your team during the season. This is to stop players joining teams to just play the singles.
10. Chip dumping and colluding is not allowed in this league. It is a singles league and must be treated as such. The idea is to prove you are the best singles player in the BRL.
11. This will run for 8 games too, alongside the normal team league.
12. At the end of the season the top 10 players will be awarded a $50 freeroll to play for, this will determine the champion.
The team league will carry the $100 freeroll as always. I would also suggest that we have the freerolls played on the 9th week. That way we get it done straight away and no-one is left hanging. If a winning teams players can't make it that week, tough. (Live Events as always will see any games scheduled to be cancelled).
I know this is a very long and appreciate you reading it.

I agree with most of these. I agree with Derek tho, maybe have something at different times, so we can all play early in the evening where ever we are.
The scoring for all players is a great idea.
If we have a full team, we will have to have a rota for deciding who plays when. I think I'd leave that to the captain/co=captain, because I am sure they will come up with a fair rota.

heh ladies, sorry for being missing, looks like yous are doing great in my absence anyway lol... congratz... update on my probs... the virus i had on my lappy was called "vista spyware 2010" its a nasty bugger seemingly according to a few computer geeks.. anyway, it was away last week and i got it back on the monday evening, great... until the fucker re-appeared 2 hours later.. now im back to sq 1... now a friend of a friend who works with comps for the HBOS has took it and will fix it no problem.. he recommended doing a full system restore to make it just like new again.. ( that means nothing to me, coz im clueless ) so it went away yesday ( thu ) so this weekend is prob a no go again ive got a comp in my spare bedroom, and ive downloaded wass, but because of password probs previously i have no idea what the hell it is.. ive tried to re set it again ( roughly 7 times now ) when they send email confirmation of new password i dont get it, as in, i dont recieve anything ( if that makes sense ) got my new modem though so all is well on that part.. sorry for the longggggggg boringggggggg post... ill keep yous updated on my frickin nightmare.... gl this weekend...

Those rules are looking good,... but there is a very big problem for me since I am working most of the Saturdays, but we will soon have a new schedule at work soon, I can't tell for sure if I have to work as many saturdays as I am doing today. I feel I can't ask for less saturdays because I need to show my feets for the boss... If I change work in the future I want to have good references.
I am not sure if I want to play the single league... but if they could add the single league with a small buy in I have a bigger interest in that. The buy in could be like 1.10 or 2.20, that would be cool. (Maybe have a point buy in option as well, if possible).
The single league shouldn't be a "must". However I agree if you play the single league you should play the brl in between.
I was thinking about those 2 posts. It shouldn't matter where you post them... in my opinion. It is still in the forum even if it isn't anywhere else but in this brl section.
*****************************
Well, I can't play this saturday, because I was a fool to say yes to a spell, they needed someone who could work 4 hours and late as normal. I had 3 days off and I choose to work. Baaah... (Not sure if I am home in time. )

I am fine with the new rules - I really like the idea of having to commit to only one day a week. I think it would have to remain a weekend day for the USA players - we would be getting home from work about 1am your time during the week, so I don't see how that could work out.
Do these new rules start in April?
I will be around this weekend, so I will go and reg. when I get a chance. See ya tomorrow.
oh yeah--
congrats last weekend you guys!! -- awesome play and result -- woohoo!!
