I only started the Ladies of Wass. They were one of the original teams from the beginning of the BRL when Salmon started it. Original Team was:

Suzie and myself decided to leave and handed it over to pysa and cille. From there on ppl moved teams and it kept going on and on until it became Leather and Lace as buggerlugs has stated.
Good fact tho...Marrietta is the only original member from game one who has continued on and remained with the team as it has changed and grown.

We started our as Ladies of wass but we became short of players as some of the ladies that were giving up brl but all except 2 went to play for other teams this is when I took over the team and ike was starting a team called lemons but also could not get a full team so we decided to combine the 2 teams and for a while were ladies and lemons but then the stick was getting a bit much so we decided that we needed a new name and so we became Leather & Lace..........
HeadHunters:
HeadHunters was founded by LegacyDK for BRL # 10 to make a competitive team with common guidelines to play by. The Idea was that a group of aggressive players would either finish top or botton and thus be very inconsistent, while a group of very tight players never would win a game but always finish in the top as a team. The original players in HeadHunters was hired with this in mind. A large group of tight asses to make it into top 30 every game and a small group of good aggressive players to make it big or go out trying. Guidelines were made and all played by them for a while. The strategy seemed to work and HeadHunters won the very first Brl we competed in.

The original team name was BULLRINGERS but during 2007 we shortened it to BULLS.
The BULLS was one of the original BRL teams and personally in the beginning I thought of us as a ragtag team without much in common. The only one on the team I knew was Bubbles.
The original team had Bubbles (MommaBull), Handsnatcher(HandyBull), Callum(SteadyBull), Chickster(SweetheartBull), Hamish(WildBull), Gazthehippy(HippyBull), and myself Madmann(PoppaBull). There were others but please forgive me. I am old and I forget. These are the original BULLS that played with us for a full year or longer that became the core of the winningest team ever in BRL and were all present for our first 5 Victories.
The BULLS won the very first BRL season ever May 2006 and we won it from behind on the last day. In fact we won our first 5 BRLs going into the last weekend not in first place. I atribute our early sucess to two things. First we had 8 players in every game and second to our being the first team to master the concept of team play.
During the second season June 2006 we elected Bubbles team captain and KenoDanny(NewBull) joined the team. We did not win this season but finnished in the top 3 teams.
During the third season July 2006 an interesting thing happened. During one game the final table got down to 5 BULLS and 1 Viking. The Viking was DaStinger and he thawarted our best team efforts and chopped us all down like a lumberjack does trees in the forest. We were so impressed that he was invited to join the BULLS and became StingerBull.
I am not certain of the month but about this time Wass held the first and only team buy in league in the old Wasspoker room. You guessed it. The Bulls won it.
Shadowlady(LadyBull) joined us at the start of the forth season August 2006. The BULLS came on strong and won that season coming from behind on the last weekend and became the first team to win 2 BRLs.
The Bulls also won season five September 2006 From behind during the final weekend.
I believe it was at the start of season six October 2006 when Bizwubi(GrumpyBull) joined the BULLS and we won that season as usual coming from behind during the final weekend.
At the start of season seven Stepgen(forgive me Step but at this moment I forget your BULL name
) The BULLS were in second place and poised to win our 4th BRL in a row when PDC had a major crash and the last weekend games were never played. Was just as well though because our friends the Welsh team was in first and they won their first BRL.
That is the early history of the Bulls as I remember it I am positive I have made some mistakes. I will not be offended if corrected. Remember I am OLD! I was thinking we won 5 seasons during 2006 but there was no December BRL but there are only 4 listed here. The current nuber of BULLS BRL season wins for those of you who are interested is 8.

Suspects were founded by Ozzy and corey for BRL #5 in october 2006.
We won our first title in BRL #11 and went on to get back to back results winning BRL #12 too.
As it turned out most the team are mods/admin but it wasnt planned that way.
The captain band has moved around a couple of players but we have always remained a close team competing for the title in virtually every BRL we have competed in.
We have now won 4 BRL titles with the latest being BRL #31 Feb 2009.

A brief history of Vitruvians.
We were formed by myself and buddiemad. We were both recruiting players and decided to pool our resources. The only other original member is afc1903 (chipdon/billwhizzer). We were originally called Team USUK. This was because we had an American guy called Happy playing for us, the only member from outside of UK I believe. Also the USUK was supposed to be a play on words "You Suck". After Happy left the team we decided to rename, because we thought it was crap to be honest. Buddiemad came up with Vitruvians, as we were all men and Vitruvian Man is the perfect man. We now have three women on our team, and they are perfect too.
I do believe we were in right from the very beginning, but could be wrong there. We took quite a while to win our first brl title as we struggled to get full a full team out every week, however we managed to recruit some regular players to the team and eventually won our first title. We managed to retain the title the following month.
We now have four brl titles and were voted the brl team of 2008. We respect the other teams because we know how hard it is to consistantly turn out 8 players, and we know how tough it is to win the brl. We will be around for a long time yet.

The story behind the Dangerous Divas (as far as I remember, lol) :
The team was originally called the Applebottoms (omg that name was embarrassing - I hated it ,lol), and it started a few months after the BRL was first formed - made up of ladies that were too late to join in on the Ladies of Wass team.. The Ladies of Wass already had a great reputation for being a tough team to beat, so it was a little intimidating at the time. I cannot remember who the original captain was (was not Daisy) - but she disappeared about a month after we started playing, lol.. So, we had to regroup and Daisy became the captain and we all had a vote on a new team name (since everyone but the AWOL captain hated it, lol)- we liked Dangerous Divas because Salmon found a cool avatar for us that said "danger- women working" , it went along with a theme...(I actually voted for Bad Beat Bettys though
)
So anyways... Dangerous Divas formed, and everyone probably knows that we still use the same thread which was created in September of 2006 -- due to the passing of one of our original members Sumosam, we just don't want to get rid of that thread that she started with us..
We have gone through some captains since then (let's see-- there's Daisy, Tina, Cardie, PaisleySky, KatyMaty... I hope I didn't forget anybody!).
PS - lol, I just took LegacyDK's advice in his post and looked around the old Applebottoms/Divas thread and found out that I was NOT on the original team, lol! - I completely forgot that I joined up with another original BRL team called the Bullets which was started by EscoMike and that team petered out in a few month's time, so then I joined the Applebottoms/Divas... wow - and I always thought I was an original member, lol!..

Hi As the founder of The Rookies I feel that I should tell my story first and let Adam take it from there.
I used to be Captain for the Vikings from BRL # 6, I think it was. I had taken over from Stigd who had left to join The Bulls after letting out his frustration with the lack of dedication in the team. I put in a LOT of effort and hours to get Vikings competitive but it all ended in frustration.
Finally I came up with a plan to get a competitive team. I started to hire all the new players I could find. I wrote new members and players I meet at the tables asking them to join the BRL. Back then BRL was played in the normal free rolls on weekends so it was just a matter of comparing the lists to see who was not yet playing in the Brl but playing the free rolls.
I founded The Rookies to have a place to put all theese new players. I enlisted anyone, who wanted to play. All together I got almost 20 new players for Vikings and Rookies in about 7 weeks of hard work.
Rookies started playing in Brl # 9 and I spend hours watching my new recruits play while still hiring new ones to start in the teams from BRL # 10. I was Captain for both Vikings and Rookies for Brl #9.
By the end of Brl # 9 I felt I had reached my goal and founded HeadHunters with 10 players who meet my criteria from both teams. It was important to me that both Vikings and Rookies would survive this so I left both teams with 10 players in each. Pete was made captain for Vikings.
It was harder to find a new Captain for Rookies as I had been training Zedmaster and Spiersey for Captains and I brought both over to HeadHunters, so I had to continue as Captain for Rookies well into Brl # 10. Finally a couple of the newest recruits in Rookies took the reins in the Team. Their names was Christian aka German Falcon and Adam aka Villarge.

JUST TO CLAIRIFY A BIT. YES LEGACYDK FORMED THE ROOKIES, BUT HE NEVER PLAYED A GAME FOR THE TEAM. HIS IDEA WAS TO USE IT AS LIKE A MINOR LEAGUE AND THEN INVITE THOSE THAT HE WANTED TO JOIN HIS TEAM HH.
I WAS THE FIRST CAPTIN AND GERMANFALCON WAS CO-CAPTIN. WE STRUGGLED FOR MONTHS TO PUT A TEAM UP EVERY WEEK-END . YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE ME IF I TOLD YOU HOW CLOSE GERMANFALCON & I CAME TO DIS-BANDING THE TEAM. INSTEAD WE DECIDED TO GIVE IT ANOTHER GO, WE WERE ABLE TO RECRUIT OUR OWN GOOD AND LOYAL PLAYERS, AND THINGS STARTED TO TURN AROUND. WE ASKED VILLARGE TO TAKE OVER AS CAPTIN WITH FALCON TO REMAIN AS CO-CAPTIN. WE CHANGED OUR NAME TO GPT, AND THINGS GOT EVEN BETTER.
VILLARGEOFWASS IS THE GREATEST OF ALL BRL CAPTINS.

Team EVOlution came to be as to teams merged into 1,it all started from an idea from a very good friend and player jim (evo),he was disscussing a merge with the vikings which jim and john (mortas)was in favour of the name pheonix which was going to be our new name,but while trying to put the team together jim unfortunately passed away after a battle with his health.
So with him gone and the teams not at there bests we had an idea about renaming the team to EVOlution in rememberance to jim,and having the avatar as a pheonix which was right.
