JULY BRL - PLEASE READ

It has been brought to my attention that a couple of teams are planning to take a break for the month of July and possibly August. This is going to severely deplete the number of players in the games.

The proposal is to change the brl for two months and run it as a singles league.

If we do this it will be kept nice and simple with only the final table finishers scoring points. We can use the FT points setup from the regular brl.

If anybody else would like to run it a different way then now is the time to speak.

It's a shame that a couple of teams are thinking of taking some time off. It seems that it is only really the BRL that keeps this forum alive and kicking. Can those that want to carry on from said teams not get together for the 2 months so at least that way we are only down by 1 team instead of 2. Did 2 teams not merge for a month or so before or am I thinking of something else??

I think I can speak for all of GPT when I say we have no intention of taking time out from the BRL. We all really enjoy the games and look forward to playing.

The singles league idea sounds like a good idea also and I am happy to go with the majority on this idea.

Its a shame that we have to lose 2 teams even if only for 2 months. The BRL is the heart and soul of Wassonline Forum and I think most people would not play if the BRL was to come to and end. If playing a singles league for these couple of months to keep it going is what we need then count me in.

I think Jo has a good idea ( im quite amazed actually ) with the possibility of 2 teams merging to form a team for those 2 months. Or what about volunteers to go 'out on loan' to these teams from other teams that have plenty of players?

The Divas are definately taking at least a 2 month break, last games tonight are for me, Shaz, Graham and Loonzi (to be confirmed)
Maybe others will post what they intend to do, will ask in chat.

I just saw your tribute to the Divas thread Katy. Are you leaving BRL and the Divas for good or just for the 2 months you have mentioned. it would be such a shame to see not only a top class player leave but also one of the nicest and funniest wassers here.

Awww Jo been trying not to cry after posting my tribute, but to be honest I'm leaving the Divas. I'm not leaving Wass or stopping playing poker just the BRL. I've loved it too and thank you for your kind thoughts, I will miss the games but am looking forward to a social life at weekends lol.

It aint just because of summer etc, we've lost a few members simply because there is no possible way of redownloading Wasspoker despite me trying via Wass support & even going to Merge.

I don't know what to do yet! With so many leaving the diva team and a few not being able to re-download the client and must leave because of that.... it feels if I may say. I didn't knew I would feel this way, but it is with a little tear, and I can be honest to say.... it is not the same, even if I enjoyed to play with the bull's team when I had the opportunity.

I need to melt this before I can say how to do in the future. I know for sure I need at least one month of the games.

If there was a possibility... can we change room for the BRL?

Maybe more players could join BRL? Just a thought for the future.
