Problem with Absolute Poker and Vegas247 (What ever their network is)

Anybody else having this problem. When AP or Vegas247 gives me new update to their software, beginning goes well but then appears sign that says : closing update window during update is prohibited.

Then cpu usage jumps to 100% and nothing anymore happens. Only option then is to close _mainclient_from task manager.

This is frustrating, because I can't play with either client, and I have already registered to couple of upcoming events

Please help me, if anyone have solved this problem (or is it just me).

p.s. I have contacted support and they just said : uninstall, reinstall and you are fine. That obviously is not the cure for me.

Sorry QQ I was having this problem but I did the uninstall and then installed again and this solved the problem for me, not sure why its not working for you. Have you cleared everything out when u uninstalled? Sometimes stuff gets left behind when U uninstall and that maybe having a detrimental effect when U reinstall.

I usually run ccleaner very often, and if i remember correctly, I did run it after I uninstalled software. Maybe I have to try that again. Ty!

try going to search after you uninstall usually something left that has to be deleted manually.

I uninstalled program. Then I ran ccleaner's issues fix about 5 times. Every time there were some shreds to clean. Then I checked regedit and tryed to find anything about vegaspoker, there weren't any. Then I rebooted my pc.

And installed vegaspoker, and answered yes to update, and what did I get for all my efforts. Problem continues existing :twisted evil:

I don't know what to try next. Maybe I uninstall and do that ccleaner wanking again, and then I use windows search, and type there _ mainclient.exe _ because I think that is mainREASON for these problems. If I can find it , I will destroy it for good. And then I start allover again

when i had prolems with veagas i just reinstalled and it worked.

Have you tried uninstalling both thenjust reinstall one of them to see if that works

Yes, currently I dont have AP installed at all. I just focused on vegas, because there were that country/forum-challenge. It worked fine untill first update. Then that nightmare started again. I have to try some _manual_updating, but don't have time just now...I'll report here, if something happens, one way or another!

And then I just got that master idea ! I went to vegaspoker247.com and surfed a while at their support pages, and what did I find...........downloadfile which contains same update as vegaspoker's automatic update. So I downloaded that straight from their site, and installed it and it worked (untill next update, I quess).
