Right I was really cheesed off today when I checked my team thread and all my posts had been made into one post. Ok I made 4 posts all on different topics........
1) team rules
2) new team avatars
3) top 5 players this week
4) wishing my teamies gl for next weekend

The last 2 were only done as I will not be around next weekend.......So I just can't see the point in making them all one, with all the spamming that goes on I don't regard any of these posts as spam and I don't know about other teams but we bring forward posts and also quote them.

The modes on the forum merge post like that all the time, its in the rules of the forum that you don't post post under each other. Has nothing to do with you personaly. Its just how the forum works.

Well she might have and she might not. Done is done for now, and the modes will look into it and see if we shall change the rules for the BRL threads. Thats what we use the mode meetings for to sort out things.

I'll take it up with the other moderators so we will make sure that we do the same for everyone.

Well I replied to your PM about this but I will also reply here in a bit more detail since it appears you were upset and did not understand the reasoning behind why it was done.

1. It was not just 4 but 7 posts one right after the other all within a few minutes of each other with no replies from other ppl in between.

2. I received a complaint about it. While I don't generally bother reading other teams' BRL threads besides my own, it is important ppl realise these are NOT private. They are open for anyone on the forum to read and basically the same rules apply there as on any other thread. IMO 7 (or even 4) posts one right after the other in the same thread is spam. I hesitate to imagine the wrath if a new member were to do it lol.

3. They were not deleted, they were merely merged into one post. So you are still able to quote the information in a future post almost as easily as if they had not been merged.

If ppl wish to communicate with their teams privately I highly recommend the PM system. Simply add teammates to your Buddy List and it is quite easy to send a group PM to all of them and no one (besides them) can complain about it. If ppl are confused or unsure how to do this I will be happy to post a tutorial about how to do it.

I think that if this were put to a forum poll... The result would be that we would want to do and say what we please in our own BRL thread... Perhaps you guys would be kind enough to put it to a poll instead of just making this decision AS IS... as these are not a part of general chat where everyone would go, they are a part of the BRL posts...

Personally I usually edit my posts if I have something to add, rather than make a new post. Sometimes I do remember something and go back to add it. If a member has made consecutive posts, maybe we could have some kind of time frame. If they've posted twice in a row and there has only been 30 minutes (or an hour, whatever) between posts, then they get merged. Experienced forum users should now know how to edit posts, and if they don't its an easy thing to show them.

I think this thread could be used as the test case. Once everyone is happy woth an outcome it should be easy to move on from.

For me, The question isnt whether or not we know how to edit... Its how much power should the mods have in OUR BRL Threads?... Had buggerlugs wanted all of hers in 1 post she could have done it that way herself, She didn't but she had that decision made for her... Which I find unfair. In General Wass member chat I understand it, but I don't think we should be so closely censored when we have been here long enought to know What we want in OUR BRL thread...

Firstly Buggerlugs was not censored..her posts were simply merged. The BRL thread is not a private thread...it is still part of the forum...Now if you all have a team problem then yes it is yours to solve in your own BRL without us getting too involved unless things are extremely out of control and we will step in. Otherwise yes, its your team thread so figure out the issues. BUT the issue with buggerlugs was not censorship it was the amount of posts one after the other... and belive me she is NOT the first persons we have merged. If this was a new person..everyone woulda been all over us that they were spamming..but since its an active member everyone seems to have a different tone about it. I myself have been guilty of this and had to go back and merge my own posts together so it doesnt look like spam as if you read the rules of Wass it clearly states:

Do not post more than twice in a row in the same thread. If you need to answer more than one person in the thread, please use the quote function, or if you want to add something more use the edit function.

This is not a witch hunt on Buggerluggs as you all are making it out to be not is it about censorship....it was clearly one occasion we merged her posts and out of the 3k she has i think you guys are making a mountain out of a mole hill....

Firstly i would like to say tha I also replied to evils pm and i posted this before she replied........
I also edit some posts if needed, and the reason i do seperate posts is so that if i or any teamie needs to quote it is only the needed post that is quoted so we don' have to scan a large post to find the relevent part of the post.
So now as i have posted on my team thread i will only post the team lists and all other comunication will be done by either pm or on msn, and if I cannot manage the team that way I will retire as captain.

I want to point out that i do not post on team thread to spam if i wanted to spam i would go to all threads and post on that thread, which would mean I would have at least double the amount of posts that i have.
I am not bothered about how many posts I have I just want to run my team thread as I feel is the best way for my team............and I would be quite happy if my posts on the team thread were not counted.......just left alone.........

I Look I have made my point i will stick by my decision as I take my job as captain very seriously and if you want to call it baby sitting you can but i need to be able to run my team in the way i feel is best for my team.....

Editng does not work as a edited post does not send an email so no one nows it has been amended. As for the quoteing I could sit and cypher what I want and quote the bit I want but much prefer when I think of something I want to say to my team to just post it.
