since when has this come into effect
it as always been ok to ask for a exchange from one site to another

(it used to ok to ask your fellow members for a loan or to simply be cheeky and ask for a couple of bucks)

but we seem to be running a secrect service here where its not allowed to post such things

i think asking for either on the forum is ok

please fill me in and let us all know when this new rule came in.

No secret service at all..... but i do know that we have aked the members to ask in a private pm instead of on the forum.

Just to clarify, this came up a few months ago, and we all agreed as follows:

Begging for money...this is along the lines of 'Please give me $5 so I can play poker' is not allowed full stop.

Asking for loans...this means asking to borrow $X and offering to re-pay in a week or whatever. This is fine if you want to PM people you know, but I don't want it on the forum because people will try to take advantage of it. I also advise anyone loaning money to make sure they trust the person, as there is no come-back through the forum...if they never pay you back, we can't do anything about it.

Swapping money...This is simply a straight swap between 2 people. So if you want to play on Poker.com but cannot deposit, then you could offer to transfer someone $x on Cake (for example) if they transfer you the same on Poker.com. This is fine on the forum, BUT again...make sure you trust the person you are doing it with...also feel free to name and shame non-payers to stop others being caught out!

I did a straight swap with denice via The forum and PMs with no problems but like Doc said make sure you can trust the person or will be out of pocket.
