What is Spamming

OK what is Spamming ? I have been wondering this since I joined Wass. I seen the post Spamming is not aloud. Never seen one that says what exactly spamming is. Is it trying to sale a product through Wass? Is it linking a site not affiliated with Wass in a post? Is it a two word post? Is it cutting and pasteing post from other forums? Is it posting off the topic? Or is it any post Cillipus or Welshgit makes? I have figured out pink fluffy bunnies, nobs, and spongers, but what exactly is spamming? I am relatively new to the computer. I am still trying to learn the slang. I would greatly appreciate it if someone enlighten me!

The first forum I ever joined classes this as spamming

Members are not allowed to post the same message multiple times on the board, or post the same message numerous times in a particular thread or forum, or continuously make posts that have no real content or that has no relevance to what is being discussed.

Posting too much can also be considered spamming. As a general rule, don't post more than two or three threads in a forum within a reasonable length of time.

Do not post more than twice in a row in the same thread. If you need to answer more than one person in the thread, please use the quote function, or if you want to add something more use the edit function.

Result

The extra threads/posts that you posted may be deleted or locked by an admin or moderator.
