Question/Suggestion

I have money on Wass. I'd love to play in more of the buy ins, (namely the $2+20c ones), but going through the selection available, most of the ones I'd like to play in have a starting stack of 1000 chips. Yes I know there's a couple with a 1500 starting stack but my question/suggestion is how difficult would it actually be to make them all 1500? I know a few Wassers who feel the same way, but don't like to 'rock the boat' as it were. So I'm happy to put my head on the block and ask the question. In my honest opinion, any game with 1000 starting chips is a crap shoot, and doesn't allow time for patience and some real poker. Anyway, that's my 2 pence worth, I'd be spending a lot more time playing at Wass if the 1000 chips structure was changed to 1500 right across the board and imagine that others would too.

I agree with you 100% Mat . It's the main reason I don't play more of these.

Hi, Evilluck (WassPoker Manager) is currently on a flight but I can answer this one.

The stack level is controlled by Merge (the poker network we're on) and those small $2 tournaments are run by them mainly. We could only raise the stack if it's a WassPoker special game, i'll get Evil to look into it.

We can't have too big a stack on smaller games or they'd be played for too long and obviously we pay a lot of money to keep WassPoker running every hour and that wouldn't make any business sense.

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll look into it when evil is back in the states.

Sheepy is correct, the starting stack on the network wide ones are set by merge and generally lower buyins have smaller stacks because of the load on the servers and that is partly what your buyin fee goes towards. It's why HU games usually have a smaller buyin fees, quicker so less demand on the servers. We'll pass on the feedback about it though.

I think almost all of the WO private games on have been raised to at least 1500.
