HELP! Can't run WassPoker
Whether I click on my desktop icon, or go to the actual 'client.exe' file in my program files, nothing happens. I tried contacting live support.. it was closed! Closed 10 mins after the email was sent. And I couldn't send a support request, because it required WassPoker player name and obviously I can't set that up til I get the software to run.
HELP.
(I posted this in another thread, but figured it might get lost there.)
Thanks, Stepgen, but that's the link I used from the email I was sent (Wass poker). I had no trouble downloading the installation software or installing it. It's just when I click on the resulting icon, or on the actual execute file (client.exe), nothing happens.
I've tried downloading the software twice, same result each time.

I may be slightly off target here but are u meaning when u click on the icon to run the client? Are u on Vista? If yes to both of them try right clicking then "Run as Admin" see if it loads that way. If that works then cool. All u have to do then is right click and go to options & set as run as admin. If ur answer is No then I waffled a lot of nothing lol

Yes, when I click on the icon on my desktop for WassPoker, nothing happens. However, I have Windows XP, and there is no 'run as admin' when I right click the icon.

I know when an executable file won't run you can type its name in the run box you get when you hit your start button on xp. Sometimes they need a jumpstart because they don't take off on their own. I am not certain if this will help you, but I have had to do that with various programs installed for work.

Is it possible virus protection is blocking it from installing? Or could you possibly have picked up nasties and not know and that could be hindering things.
I would uninstall. And if you know your pc is healthy turn off you virus protection download wasspoker. Immediately turn virus protection on after you have installed.
If you are not certain about your status as it related to virus, trojan horses, malware, spyware ~ uninstall scan the pc & clean it up. Reinstall.
It has to be a conflict. Most likely when there is a conflict something nasty is interfering or the person downloading the program doesn't have admin privileges to allow for the program to install.
