This might seem like i stupid question but it is something that i need to know.

lets say the game is texas holdem and the cards on the table are As Ac Kd Kh Ks. There are two players, one with Qh 2h, the other with 10h 10s. what happens to the pot?

I would say that the pot should be split as you can only play 5 cards and the best are shared. am i correct? are does it go go to the one with the highest holding card?

That is correct. The pot is a split pot because they both have the same 5 card hand.

The only way the Q2 guy would win is if the last card was say a jack or lower (but not a 10) instead of a king so it was higher kicker card.

There are sites out there that go to the 5th card. Been in the hand...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
