Verification Process Question

I have filled out the form. Have my driver's license scanned and attached also front and back of my MasterCard. Upon attaching the back scan of the MasterCard, I realized it reveals a code only I should be privy to to protect fraudulent use, a 3 digit code ~ I believe called a ccv in the States. Should I hide that from view? I do believe no one is to just allow that number to be seen by everyone ~ it should only be given out upon request to validate the immediate transaction where the physical card isn't processed.

Please advise if I should block this code.

I am also curious who has access to this information? Is this viewed by support only or is it also viewed by folks helping out with the forum who assist with support?

i have sent id of to so many sites and never thought of that

but i have been using the same card for 2 years + havnt had one problem with it ..

but i might think about hiding the cvc code in future

You can block this, and personally I would advise you too. Whilst I don't doubt the integrity of any of the Wass staff or the Merge staff, if something were to happen then I would prefer that there was absolutely no way that it could come back on us...

That being said, the only people that have access to it are the support staff, who are of course not allowed to disclose things like that, and the Merge fraud staff, who have access to all of that information in order to do their jobs, so is perfectly safe

I think then it's probable that some trusted forum members can see our information otherwise it would have been stated no forum members are privy to this information. I am fine with that ~ obviously you trust them and we should have trust in that. That being said and me being a newer member to the forum as well as a person who is somewhat protective about identity is there a thread on this forum that lists what members are staff? That won't confirm what staff has access to the private information but will let us all know who is on the staff, quite honestly I have no idea and would like to know.

My information has been submitted with a note stating you gave permission to block the code and a link to this thread was enclosed to verify that.

Just to clarify;

With regards to the finiacial information such as bank details, credit card information or any financial information, the only people who have access to that are employed by either ourselves or Merge. Even there, support are not able to see the full details of any deposit/withdrawal method.

always hide that code,,if somebody insists you give it tell em to take a flying leap especially online where most scammers work,,in this day and age there is only one rule "cover your @ss"

Dori. I have deposited, at some time or another, on most of the sites I have played on and I have been playing online poker, for real money, for almost 2yrs now and I have never had any problems. I think we have to have a bit of trust in the staff when we used credit/debit cards.
