i can really understand yr frustrations with online poker in general, it seems there are way too many fools online who cannot and wont lay down their hand just because they raised and dont want to lose their money.. E.g just now sat at 10/20c table i had 10 10 on the button.. a raise b4 me to $1 so i call and see flop 10 k 2 with 2 spades... he bets and i push as i dont want to see another spade come off.. he thinks about it and calls off a further $12 on a gutshot st8 draw holding AQos and hey presto got his lucky donk catch with miracle river!! Why the hell call off all yr stack on a gutshot??? had another as well this morning at another site - 93 suited sat in bb - 10 seater table - utg raises to 50c there was 5 calls b4 it got to me so thought ok lets see flop see if can hit hard and called - 932 flop .. bet pot of $3.50 to get this plank all in on me... i call he shows AQ and hits runner runner 2 pair!! whatever gave him the idea he was good i dont know... but its these players that catch their miracles that are so damn annoying!! So yeah i can sympathise and do sometimes question how come the fekkers always seem to get rewarded

Exactly! The location might change (online vs. brick-n-mortar), the players will change, and the cards will definitely change.....but the math will always stay the same.

The object is to get your chips in the middle with the best cards, right? Well how do you do that, especially preflop? You figure the odds and hope they hold true.

Suppose it's the 1st hand of a tourney and you've got AA. You have no information about your opponents .... rock or ATM? fish or shark? Bluffer? ... you just don't know. But what you do know is that your aces are favored to win over any other hand your opponents may be holding, including the any-2 a-holes with 36o. If they get lucky, then they get lucky. It doesn't mean you didn't make the right move or that you should abandon the odds.

Default op

Every online poker site is different.Sometimes you can clue in on patterns on certian sites.I switch my play up i guess depending on the site.Mostly I will play the odds and try to find my groove,is the best way to put it.
