I have withdrawn by check many times from Wass with no problem. At first the check came from a bank in CA so it only took about 3-4 weeks. But after the big issue with American Banks the checks then starting coming a little over a month and from Canada.
Remember holiday delay also.
Hopefully you dont end up with issues.

Merge take forever to send checks out but they DO arrive. Patience grasshopper.
I'm also confused by two withdrawals at once, are you sure the second didn't cancel out the first?

no, it didn't cancell anything. i requested a withdraw back in summer. they told me since i had made no deposit, i would need to verify my account, so i cancell that way back in august.
i then go buy me a nice 250.00 print ,scan,copy, fax machine. download the verification form, fill it out, scan it along with my identification. attach it to e-mail, and send to wass support in october. then on november 23 i request a withdrawl by check, and it is approved. 3 weeks later i contac support, where my check? they tell me wait up to 30 days. well you remember last week, after upgrade, that transaction does not show in my history anymore?
so then after wass broke down for them couple days, i got scared and yesterday, requested another withdrawl by check for most of the rest of my funds there, it is waiting approval , they are off for holiday.

Well lets see i got my approval on january 17th 2010 only 30 days after my request. Well yesterday march 3rd i received my check in the mail. I emailed them every friday since february 1st requesting status on my withdrawal. they always replied very nicely they are waiting to here back from the cashier department. online says cashiers department work s on mondays and thursdays and payouts take approx 3 weeks to receive. i'm just happy i finallly received my money, and the good news is since january i've made another 900 on the site. Never thought that anyone uses check for cash outs.
I believe its the worst method.
Ive tried once bank tranfer which is supposed to be slow one and it took 5 working days.The fees was higher though so i never used it again.
i prefer neteller or moneybookers.
they are both fast.
neteller wants about a day to trasnfer money to the neteller mastercard and moneybookers need 2 days in worst case scenario to deposit the money in your registerd cradit card.

unfortunately the yanks are limited in how they can deposit and withdraw and if they are lucky to get some cash onto a site checks are the easiest way for some to get their money out. main downside is that it takes so long

That not easy for USA players. No neteller or moneybookers for USA.
