Tips , strategy and tactics about VIDEO POKER...

I've just read some interesting posts . I got not that much experience and I would like to ask from you what are the most Important things I shouldn't forget when playing video poker . I have just been reading at... about video poker and learned many good tips. Please share some tips and stragy with me . I want to increase my money income becoming more acurate at the game .

A good book on the subject is "Video Poker, Optimum Play" by Dan Paymar. It tells you what machines and games offer the best payback...

Surely all Video poker is , is a glorified fruit machine. The program is designed to pay out a specific % over a set time and will do that no matter what you hold.

I dont think theres any particular skill to playing it , just dumb luck playing at the right time to catch a payout

Video poker is a complete waste of space....same as any fruit machine type game ....No skill .. pure chance with the odds loaded towards the provider....Why would they bother if u can win?

Actually video poker in the USA in Las Vegas and other casinos is regulated and must payout based on true poker hand probabilities. It is the only video slot machine type game that can be beaten, based on a playing strategy and machine selection.

Look for a 9/6 or 9/5 (flush/straight) payout jacks or better machine (they have payouts from 99.7 to 101.8) and play the basic strategy for the machine ( or it's variable like dueces wild, etc ).

Overview: In every draw/fold decision, go for the hand that offers the highest payout, not the most probable hit, and always play maximum coins. This is not poker, never hold a kicker. Be sure to use a players card if you play to build comp time.
